Tom Wilson is the earliest known Wilson from which I am directly descended. He immigrated from Europe to America in the early 1700s. I do not know when or where he was born, where he lived, who he married, where he immigrated from, or when or where he arrived in America. He supposedly had six children.
James Wilson and Sarah Carson had five children.Click here for details as to why I believe that this James Wilson was not the same one that signed the Declaration of Independence.
Thomas Wilson and Nancy McBride were married on December 05, 1789, in Wayne County, OH. They had fourteen children, all born in Ohio. One of their sons, Amariah, wrote a family history that I have used extensively.
Clinton Wilson and Mary Ann Miller were married on August 12, 1830, and had several children.
Jacob Wilson and Elizabeth Edgar Fusselman were married on June 11, 1857. They had three children born in OH.
Clinton Miller Wilson and Amy Westlake were married on May 2, 1895. They were my paternal grandparents. All of their children were born in Iowa.
My family. Information being withheld to protect the living.
NOTES:
I respect the wishes of the living, therefore I will not publish the names of any living person without their permission.
I am constantly updating these records so any corrections, additional information, or photographs would be appreciated. If I have any records, photos, or other images that you may want, please email me and I will be glad to accomodate you. I welcome all comments and suggestions.
Much of the pre-1890 information that I have comes from Amariah Wilson's Outline of the Wilson Family. All additions and corrections that were made are based upon reliable sources (e. g., birth, marriage, and death records).
