I know that many people will no doubt dislike any kind of popup windows or other advertising. I have tried to keep this down to a minimum, while still enjoying the benefits of a short URL redirector, free web space, etc.

The da.ru banner I think I can live with. Some of you may have bypassed that already in favour of the full URL. This is fine but in case I move my site, the redirector should be bookmarked also.

As for the advertising, in particular the FortuneCity popup that appears every time the Miss Christy Turlington site is accessed - there is a way around this, for those who don't already know.

For a few years now I've used some software that has done exactly what it set out to do in the first place - filter advertising from websites. What's more, this software is completely free of charge - but please don't let that fool you as it is a very capable piece of software.

I, myself, use it in conjunction with other software that does the same, but it costs.
