[Through the eyes of Lauren]
After waiting a while in my room when class was
over, I heard the doorbell ring.
"I got it!" I called this out as I raced over to the
stairs with my slippers. Oh, yeah, my name is Lauren, and I'm gonna be sixteen
soon. I'm the black-haired, hazel eyed young woman my new friend was
describing. I currently live with Mom and my spunky younger sister, because
Dad died from Heart Disease.
I opened the door and saw Anna..
"Hi, Anna! C'mon in, I have to show you something!"
"Hey there, Lauren!" said Anna. She came in, and we
went to my room to show her my new costume.
"And...TA-DA! What do you think?"
"A costume?" asked Anna.
"Yep, I made it myself. I call it 'The White Cape.'
What do you think?"
"Well, it definitely speaks for itself. I like it!"
She was right. The costume did speak for itself.
There was a red hat, a blue blouse, a red shirt, white cape, and blue shoes. I
was quite proud of myself. All of sudden, there was the sound of glass
breaking...
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!"...and a scream
from downstairs!
"What the?" said an alert Anna.
"Kiley, what happened? Kiley!!" I called out as the
two of us rushed down the stairs.
