11am, Monday 5th December - Falkirk Old Sheriff Court

The Scottish Socialist Party kicks off its campaign in Falkirk West on Monday 5th December with a press conference at 11am in Falkirk Old Sheriff Court.  By-election candidate Ian Hunter  will outline the issues that matter to the people of Falkirk, including the running down of the local health service, the scandalous privatisation of five of Falkirk's schools and the poverty that many face around the district. The need for a radical redistribution of wealth will also be outlined together with the necessity of the people of Scotland owning and managing their own railway system - a topic which will be close to many journalists hearts if they attempt to arrive by train.

A press release outlining the Scottish Socialist Party's campaign strategy is also available.
