Welcome to the homepage of the Scottish Socialist Party's Falkirk
Branch.
The SSP stands for the transformation of society; to replace capitalism
with an economic system based on democratic ownershop and control of the
key sectors of the economy. A system based on social need and
environmental protection rather than private profit and ecological
destruction.
The Falkirk Branch are an active campaiging branch,
both on local and national issues. We have spearheaded the
campaign against the Forth Valley Health proposals, which would close in-patient surgical services at Falkirk, and women's
and children's services at Stirling, and have been active
in raising awareness about the Private Finance Initiative funding
of Falkirk's schools, which has lead to five schools in
Falkirk being owned by a private company called "Class 98 Ltd".
