Line-in - to - .mp3
(Realtime .mp3 encoding)

Realtime mp3 recording is mostly needed when you want to convert your vinyl or tape song to .mp3 (you don't have to record them to wav first) . Another reason is to cover a live concert or a DJ's  program .

Two years before AmpRec was the only application that you could do such job . There are several solutions today to record .mp3 in realtime .

As you see , Line Ripper has the most tools than any other program , its free and you can choose among many encoders . The best quality I achieved was using gogo.dll . Messer comes after specially if you need a time scheduled recording . MM Jukebox is shareware but provides the new Fraunhofer engine 'FastEnc'  and it's all-in-one package (encoder , player , library , internet mp3 , cover sheet , cd-burner) .

Tips:
- You MUST make some tests before the final recording . Be sure what you record , how good you record .
- You can cut the final .mp3 with some tools like mp3Trim , mp3Cuter . You can find some links in my main page .
- Not all encoders fits to all CPU . Test what encoder fits to you . Gogo & Xing fits to the most PC's .

- There are dozens of similar utilities today in Tucows , but haven't really test them yet  .
