One of the greatest sport's person, whose name can be written with the golden letters in the national swimming histories of Montenegro, Yugoslavia also Italy is undoubtedly Prof. Ivan Zuber, President of Jadran SC, Herceg Novi. Both with Mr. Tripo Klisura, Prof. Zuber recently earned the “Worthy sport's workman of Montenegro” prestige acknowledgment that is established for the first time this year. And we'll say, not only of Montenegro,  but also one of the worthiest in the world.
According to some appraisal in his 55 year long engagement by the many European swimming pools, Prof. Zuber as a Coach teaches and worked with more then 50.000 swimmers. Many of those later became the National, European and world record holders. Definitely, his name is synonym for sport and especially swim successes.
The first steps in swimming of the young Ivan Zuber were made in 1948. In his 17 he became the first National Champion of the former Yugoslavia in 50 and 100 freestyle and then other disciplines. Many of his records stayed unbroken for long period of time. As a trainer, Ivan Zuber started from 1958 and with Jadran SC, won four successive national titles from 1958 to 1961. As YU National Coach, he worked in the period from 1958 to 1966.
In 1962 Ivan Zuber moved to Italy. With Rome Swimming Club, he won 13 titles in the famous Italian Cup and 7 titles in the National Championships. His well known stars were Mr.Giorgio Lale, world record holder, Mrs.Chinchia Savi Scaponi 4 times winner of the Mediterranean Games and the Champion of Italy, Mrs.Novella Caligaris and others. As a swim expert, he worked in Italian Swimming Federation, Rome. In 1979 and 1981 his Italian selection overcame Germany Democratic Republic, one of the best world  swimming nation for the many years in that period.
Prof. Ivan Zuber turn back to Montenegro and Yugoslav swimming in 1981. Since that he guided Yugoslav National teams in the World Championships in Rome (1994) and Rio De Janeiro (1995), in the Olympic Games (Atlanta, USA, 1996), also Mediterranean Games (Bari, Italy, 1997). Over 30 Yugoslav national champions were established upon his coaching. Some of those have to be mentioned: Tia Camdzic, Slobodan Kicovic, Mladen Terzovic, Ivan Lakicevic, Pop Darija, Duska Radan…
The latest Prof. Zuber’s engagement in the swimming development of these regions is connecting to the famous “Montenegro Mimosa Cup” International Swimming Meet, the 7th edition was organized this February. This event is also included in the official LEN meeting's scheme.

Njegove dobro poznate zvezde su izmedju ostalih: Djordjo Lale, svetski rekorder, Cincija Savi Skaponi, 4 puta prvak Mediterana i sampionka Italije, Novela Kaligaris i dr. 1979.god. i 1981.god.
