International Swimming Meeting
“Vidovdan
Cup 2000”
Krusevac, Yugoslavia,

This
was the first time and the first participation in this interesting swimming
event, organized for the third time this year on the famous day of Serbian
tradition called Vidovdan.
Upon
the professional organization of "Rasina"
Swimming Club, Krusevac, and Yugoslav
Swimming Federation, we really enjoyed the whole day in the Sport Center
in the town of Krusevac (central Serbia). Swim Star 2000 SC would like
to thank to all people from the Organizing Committe also many of our friends
from the town of Krusevac.

More
then 100 participants in total from various parts of Yugoslavia, Republic
of Serpska, Macedonia, etc. in the cadet and pioneer categories really
did their best to reach medals and good times in 50 m and 100 m races.
Our
competitor Mr. Igor Rasula was prepared to take part in only two races
100 m back and 100 m free. Here atreally the Meet's opening ceremony
he has standing together with his good mates from "Crnica" SC Paracin and
"St. Nicholas" SC, Nis.
Special
regards to all our swimmers who regrettably couldn't participate in this
worty competition.

Although
this period is a high season for the preparation to participate the Republic
and State Championships being held in the middle of July 2000 our competitor
used this Meet to check the present condition. Mr. Igor Rasula the
captain of our team took part just in two disciplines. In 100 m free
he was ranked 4th with his best personal time 1:05,00 and in 100 m back
he touched the 2nd ( silver medal),
time 1:18,06 (not so good because of some
personal mistakes). But we were glad for the briliant silver medal
in this moment and the new point score for "Swim Star 2000" SC in this
season.

Club, Belgrade, one of the biggest and most popular Club in Yugoslavia.
We really appreciate the words got from Mr. Seratlic in that moment,
and we'll never forget. Thank you Sir, so much. It was a pleasure...

As
we didn't have enough time to walk round Krusevac, some more images were
made round the pool. Guess you'll like them. Special tribute

Mr. Branislav Kostic,
Head Coach of "Proleter" SC, Zrenjanin our best friend and temporarily
Consultant. Kole, again thanks for all you did for us, and especially to

Mr.
Sergio Filipovic was our special
guest at this Meeting, our former Coach and international Consultant, who
helped us with some advises about Igor's participating especially in
100 m free race. Since the competition ended, we use to walk round
Vrnjacka Banja Spa, the famous tourist destination in Serbia (30 km from
the town of Krusevac). Kisses and regardswe're sending to all our fans
over the world.
