San Benedetto del Tronto (March 16-23, 2000)
Many, miles were swam out in pour conditions in our pool in Belgrade in everyday practice, because of the sanctions and other circumstances in this country. But all our athletes really do their best. Upon the kind invitation form Mr. Mario Mazzarella Igor Rasula went through the basic training in San Benedetto (Italy) with Nandi Ars Swimming Club, in the first part of January. After that he continued in Belgrade at Tas Swim Center. That was not enough for extreme results, but he finished all control races and official domestic competitions with his best results.  |
Preparation for the traditional
Euro Meet in Trento included also last two central swimming competitions:
first Republic Cup in the town of Zrenjanin (February
26, 2000) and National Championships in the town of Pancevo
(March 4, 2000). After that, training continued in Belgrade.
On March 16, 2000 Mr. Igor Rasula and his trainer Mr. Dejan Ilic went to San Benedetto and Ascoli (Italy) for the final testing, 10 days before the event in Trento (Italy). 
All other activities were targeted to the sponsors and donators whom we owe great thanks, first of all to "Montenegro Airlines" Podgorica, State and Republic Ministries of sport, CIP Institute of transportation, Belgrade, and of course to our former coach and abroad consultant Mr. Sergio Filipovic. Kisses to Teodora and Sladja our fans in Villa Rosa (Italy). |
Similar to the staying in January, this time all Igor's final training were allowed by fantastic and hospital people from San Benedetto. We really thanks again to Mr. Guliano Corradi, president of Rari Nantes Ascoli Swimming Club, Mr. Mario Alfonsi and Mr. Enzo Iavarone, managers. God bless you all.
