FINA
APPROVES MEMBERSHIP OF SERBIA AND MONTENEGRO AS INDEPENDENT FEDERATIONS
...
| Lausanne (SUI), August 21, 2006
– Following the separation of Serbia and Montenegro, FINA has approved
the membership of the new Federations of Serbia Swimming Federation and
Montenegro Swimming Federation as independent bodies. In consequence, the
successor entity to Serbia-Montenegro, Serbia Swimming Federation will
inherit all current FINA team rankings, standings and entitlements that
has been earned by the Swimming Federation of Serbia & Montenegro.
Furthermore, the Montenegro Swimming Federation as a new FINA Member, will
start from scratch with respect to team rankings and standings. |

| Pursuant to the resolution of the
Union of Serbia and Montenegro also the decrees of Montenegro Swimming
Association and Serbian Swimming Association, the new Board of the Swimming
Federation of Serbia & Montenegro is established at the end of December
2003 with Mr. Sinisa Krajcinovic as a President |
| Mr. Krajcinovic is a former top
representative of the swimming sport of former Yugoslavia and Serbia, and
a present Chief person of the Sport Association of Serbia. He is degreed
at the Faculty for sport and physical education University of Belgrade.
His professional engagement is also evidenced by the Secretariat of Sport
of the Belgrade's Assembly, since 2000. |
