The Yugoslav  National Championships 20001 (short course pool) was held under the complete organization of "Dinamo" Swimming Club, Pancevo, the community of Pancevo and upon the patronage of Yugoslav  Swimming Federation and Swimming Association of Serbia. It joined up to 30 domestic Clubs, also 3 Clubs from Republic of Serpska (Banja Luka) with about 200 participants in all races. Due to the present conditions, this year the event joined three categories together: cadets, juniors and seniors.  Opening ceremony
The National Championships has been organized in the 25 m indoor pool (8 lines) of the Sport Complex in the town of Pancevo, Vojvodina  from Saturday, March 31st to Sunday, April 1st, 2001.
