| This traditional and pleasant
Swimming Competition joined this year over 150 athletes from many domestic
Clubs and only one from FRY Macedonia. Regrettably, due to the present
situation here, many teams who announced their arriving, changed the decisions
in the last minute. We were so sorry for missing to meet many of our old
friends especially from Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Bulgaria.
Nevertheless, the competition elapsed in fantastic atmosphere. Swim Star
2000 is thanking for the hospitality and kindness to all people from St.
Nicholas, SC, Nis who really did their best to organize this international
event at the top level. |

our competitor at the winners place. Mr. Igor Rasula won the Silver medal
in 100 m freestyle race and was honored to reach it from the hands of Mr.
Cira Jovanovic, head coach of Crnica, SC, Paracin and one of the
top trainer in Yugoslavia. |

| After the opening ceremony
which included almost 150 participants from 15 clubs, many of old swim
friends met again after one year. Our representative Mr. Igor Rasula inlayed
enormous effort last 10 days before the event to do his best at this meet.
He had the only one reason.This competition was the last one in 2000 and
in the 2nd Millennium. |

| And Igor was very happy
at the end. In this competition he swam out his three personal times: in
100 m back (time 1:16,5 - 4th place in C group), in 200 m freestyle (time
2:19,50 - 4th place in the C group) and in 100 m free (time 1:03,14 - 2nd
place and Silver medal). Igor's fourth race has been 200 m backstroke,
where he also reached 4th place (time 2:42, 53 more then 6 sec better then
year ago). |

| All successes in the present
season really belong to this top people of our young club: Mr.
Dejan Ilic, coach and Mr, Igor Rasula, captain of the team, and our
best competitor. |
In the analyzing of the
Meeting's Start list
| We'd like to send our special
regards to the chief people of this International swim events, especially
to Mr. Gavrilo Maslakovic, Head Coach of
St. Nicholas Swimming Club, Nis, and other people of the management and
the Organizing Committee of the Meeting. |
| This
year, many miles were swam out not in the adequate conditions in the two
pools for our training in Belgrade, but all achievements of ours showed
that the extra results shall arrive for sure. Wishing Mr. Rasula and other
young swimmers many new personal and Club's records in the next year the
Presidency would like to promise a few changes for their calm future.
We know that is our main duty. And we hope we'll all be happier than this
