![]() Igor Rasula and Mr. Srdjan Filipovic Coach, just the second day of Nato Attack on Yugoslavia, found the way to participate in this traditional Swim Talents Champs in Italy... The image above was made in Trento in front of the big transparent arranged against the War at Kossovo on March 25, 1999. Others had been made in the center of the city of Venezia. |
| Igor Rasula (born in 1986), swam his best 100 m backstroke (1.20, 23) at Euro meet in Trento and was finally ranked the 12th in Europe among the competitors from over 15 countries (age of 12). Really worthy result, considering the difficulties - day and night in traveling to Trento (Italy) from Belgrade (via Hungary and Austria), trough the war situation also under the continuos and strong psychological pressure to reach his personal record in that moment... |

Many Italian weekly magazines and daily news, have had the articles about Igor's reaching Trento and his participation in this traditional event. The third national channel RAI-3 has made the completely exclusive interview with him and his coach. Our competitor has got the gold medal from the Organizing Committee and Mr. Walter Bolognani, Meet director and manager of Rari Nantes Swimming Club, Trento for his courage to go out from his country where the war already has been started. Many people mentioned miracle when the two Serbian guys have appeared by the pool in Trento and participated in this famous swimming competition. |

The same as it was in Italy, also many domestic journals and daily magazines in Belgrade and Serbia wrote about Igor Rasula, his courage and success also about his contribution appealing the world to stop the injustice and terrible aggression on his country and its inhabitants. Here is the facsimile of the article pressed in
"Politika", the biggest Yugoslav daily news magazine issued on April
02, 1999. We'll never forget those days of our and the world nightmares

Let us turn here to our
"well fairy" and a protector in Italy, the man whom we owe so much. Tribute
and thanks to
Mr. Walter Bolognani. The picture was made in front
of Madonna di Bianca Pool in Trento (Italy).
We've visited him again in Trento on July, 13 1999 for the second time in the year of 1999. Among others, we have arrived to Trento to say again 'grazie' in person for all Mr. Bolognani's hospitality and patience shown to Igor Rasula and our delegation in March. We're really very proud to have that man as one of our best friend. We're not so sure if simply 'Thank you Sir' is enough. But, we know, Mr. Bolognani will forgive us... |

Marvelous swimming
meeting in the town of Riccione, in the famous tourist destination by the
Adriatic coast near the town of Rimini in Italy. Special tribute we have
to forward to Mr. Fabio Bernardi, Chairman of the Riccione's Meet
Organizing Committee. Here are some of the pictures from the pool complex
in the open sport center of Commune da Riccione.
In the long course (50 m) LC pool Igor Rasula was ranked 3rd two times: in 50 m freestyle (time 30,15) and 200 m backstroke (2:53,00) in category boys (pioneers) born in 1985 and younger. |
