"Ante Lambasa Memorial 2000" finished with success
Owing to the enormous effort of "Beograd" Swimming Club, also many prior activities in the organizing by the New Belgrade's Secretary of Sport, with two weeks delay, Mr. Novo Seratlic, Meet Director opened the traditional VIII LEN Meeting "Ante Lambasa Memorial" being held in Tasmajdan Swim and Sport Center, Belgrade. Up to 200 participants took part in the competition from many domestic teams and just two from Bosnia and Herzegovina (Borac-Incel SC, Banja Luka and Sloboda SC, Tuzla). Regrettably, many of our old traditional friends from Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Macedonia and Italy couldn't take part and be here with us. The Competition was held on November 11 -12, 2000 after some delay pursuant to the normalization of the events here. Measurement of times was officiated with "Sprint" electronic units by "Dinamo", Pancevo Team. Competition jury: Mr. Dusan Dimitrijevic (Chief referee), Mr. Dragan Stojadinovic (Starter), Mr. Dragan Higl (Results control), Mrs. Bozana Ranitovic and Mrs. Gordana Mircetic ( referees in finish). Awards have been prepared for the three best athletes in men and women concurrence in two categories: senior (born 1983 and older) cadets (born 1984 and younger) for men and seniors (born 1985 and older) and cadets (born 1986 and younger) for women.

  SENIORS (MEN):  Mr. Vladan Markovic (Partizan, Belgrade, YU)
  CADETS (MEN):   Mr. Borko Radojkovic (Crnica, Paracin, YU)

  SENIORS (WOMEN): Ms. Duska Radan (Jadran, Herceg Novi, Montenegro)
  CADETS (WOMEN):   Ms. Higl Nadja (Dinamo, Pancevo, YU)

Our competitors at the opening ceremony with Dario Gacesa one of old friend from "Red Star" Swimming Club. Igor Rasula our Captain participated in six races both days. His best result was in 100 m backstroke, time 1:17,41 (sixth place in total - Junior category). 
Mr. Ranko Tepavcevic
Mr. Ranko Tepavcevic - one of the best swimmer at the Competition and one of the top swimmer in Yugoslavia last few years (SC Belgrade). He won two medals: silver in 50 m Fly (00:27,19) and bronze in 100 m freestyle ( 00:55,02).
