Mr. Dejan Ilic is
born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia in 1970. First steps in swimming had been
showed to him by Mr. Lazar Vasic, his first trainer. In 1981 Mr. Ilic started
with the serious training as a member of "RED STAR" Swimming Club, Belgrade.
In the period from
1985 to 1992 he became a recorder of Republic of Serbia in 1500 m free
style , and from 1987 to 1992 recorder in 400 m free. In 1989
he won a bronze medal at the National Championship (in former Yugoslavia)
held in the town of Rijeka (Croatia). In 1990 as the Yugoslav representative,
Mr. Ilic participated in the World Cup in Bonn (Germany) and European
long distance Championship that was held in the town of Hvar (Croatia),
where he reached the 10th place. |
From 1990 to 1993 Mr.
Ilic moved to "Vracar" Swimming Club, Belgrade, and after few months
to SG Munchen Swimming Club (Germany) in the period from 1993 to
1995. At the end of 1995 Mr. Ilic had returned back to "Red Star" Swimming
Club, Belgrade where he definitely finished his active swimming career
in 1996. In the period from 1996 to 1998 he was employed with the famous
"Zabica" School of swimming, Belgrade as an instructor.
Mr. Dejan Ilic
is now near the end of the education at P.E. Faculty, University of Belgrade,
under the continual mentor supervision of Prof. Dr. Ivica Matkovic, Ex-Coach
of Yugoslav Swim Team. From February 1st, 2000 Mr. Dejan Ilic started with
his active professional engagement at "Swim Star '2000" Swimming Club,
Belgrade. |
