Mr. Dejan Ilic Mr. Dejan Ilic is born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia in 1970. First steps in swimming had been showed to him by Mr. Lazar Vasic, his first trainer. In 1981 Mr. Ilic started with the serious training as a member of "RED STAR" Swimming Club, Belgrade. 

In the period from 1985 to 1992 he became a recorder of Republic of Serbia in 1500 m free style , and from 1987 to 1992 recorder in 400 m free. In 1989 he won a bronze medal at the National Championship (in former Yugoslavia) held in the town of Rijeka (Croatia). In 1990 as the Yugoslav representative, Mr. Ilic participated in the World Cup in Bonn (Germany) and European long distance Championship that was held in the town of Hvar (Croatia), where he reached the 10th place.

From 1990 to 1993 Mr. Ilic moved to "Vracar" Swimming Club, Belgrade, and after few months to SG Munchen Swimming Club (Germany) in the period from 1993 to 1995. At the end of 1995 Mr. Ilic had returned back to "Red Star" Swimming Club, Belgrade where he definitely finished his active swimming career in 1996. In the period from 1996 to 1998 he was employed with the famous "Zabica" School of swimming, Belgrade as an instructor. 

Mr. Dejan Ilic is now near the end of the education at P.E. Faculty, University of Belgrade, under the continual mentor supervision of Prof. Dr. Ivica Matkovic, Ex-Coach of Yugoslav Swim Team. From February 1st, 2000 Mr. Dejan Ilic started with his active professional engagement at "Swim Star '2000" Swimming Club, Belgrade.

Here is our young and perspective swimming couple (Mr. Igor Rasula and Mr. Dejan Ilic) whose future work should enable real chances for our athlete and club to reach many awards and medals at the various swimming competitions here and round the world.
After some troubles in finding a quality pool for the normal training they were both very happy to make their first steps at the famous Tasmajdan Swimming Center, Belgrade which could enable them  the complete facilities. It was strongly important in Igor's final testing period prior to the  XXXII European Meet in Trento, Italy at the end of March 2000

Igor Rasula, silver medal in 100 m back at the Traditional National Swim Event in Krusevac, YU, Jun 2000 17th place in 100 m free among up to 40 competitors at  the "5th Trofeo Ghirlandina" Meet, Modena (Italy), Jun, 2000

Zrenjanin Cup 2000, Traditional international Meeting held on November 2000.  Igor Rasula broke (for the eight times) his personal record in 100 m free (time 1:01,43).  The last event in 2000, St. Nicholas 2000 Meet, Nis YU, 2000 - Igor Rasula won the silver medal  in 100 m freestyle
