2nd  INTERNATIONAL OPEN WATER SWIMMING EVENT
OVCAR-KABLAR MINI MARATHON 2002
Cacak Swimming Club, Serbia, Yugoslavia
Ovcar Banja, Cacak, August 2, 2002

This really excellent Open Water swimming event has been organized for the second time, in the most beautiful part of the gorge of Zapadna Morava River, Central Serbia, 18 km to the West of the town of Cacak.
“Swim Fun” race for the younger swimmers  was held at the distance of 400 m and the main “Ovcar-Kablar” Mini Marathon 2002 at the distance of  2,200 m. This year regrettably, extremely cold and muddy water of Zapadna Morava river didn't enable a normal condition for a pleasent competition, as it has been last year, but two new records were set.
On behalf of Swim Star 2000 SC management, we express again our thanks to Mr. Dragan Savkovic, prof, Marathon Director for all his kindness, as well as to the people of Cacak Swimming Club  for the marvelous sport event.
This is our reccomendation for all swim fans round the Europe and world to join us next year for the day of St. Ilija, August 2, 2003.
Prof. Dragan Savkovic, Marathon Director - President of Cacak Swimming Club and his team from the Organizing Committee really inlayed the great effort to realize this uncommonly Open Water Swimming event. In the same time it is comfirmed again that the attractive and from the tourist aspect potential destination was uncovered in this part of the country. Sport and tourism were joined together again at the best way. The Serbian Swim fans have got the reason to be completely satisfied. The Organizers and the supporters of this marvelous race expect more athletes and recreatives next year in Cacak, Central Serbia.
