Swimming League of Belgrade 2002
In and Round the pool during the League 2002
Indoor swim center in the town of Pancevo, Vojvodina, January 19- February 2, 2002

Swim Star 2000 Swimming Club at this traditional event was represented by the most persisting athletes. Some previous health troubles at the end of December 2001(especially because of flu, high temp, viruses, etc.) caused absent from everyday activities for almost all swimmers by our pool in Belgrade. Thanks to the great effort and engagement of Mr. Dejan Ilic, our head coach, we succeeded to join 8-12 athletes in the Round 2 and 3. And it brought few unexpected personal times. The worthy results were achieved by Igor Rasula (1986), Captain of our team, Damjan and Dimitrije Stankovic (1991), Katarina Djordjevic(1988), Aleksandra Vukojicic(1986) and others.  As this gallery presents the moments at the beginning, we all hope we'll have a luck to repeat last year success till the end of the League (3rd place in total ranking)

Igor Rasula (in Round-3 warm up)
Igor Rasula, Captain of our team really did his best in the League 2002. In Round-1, in his category 1986-1987 (the oldest one) Igor touched the first in 100 m Back (time 1:09.57) and the fourth in 200 m I.M (time 2:47.29).   In Round-2, he won two times: in 50 m Back (time 0:32.35) and in 400 m Free (time 4,29.40). In Round-3 Igor touched the first in 200 m Back (time 2:31.91) and third in 100 m Fly (time 1:15.45). Congratulation !!!!!

Katarina Djordjevic (1988), new Swim Star 2000 women breaststroke pearl (here as a chief fan of our team). In the Round-2 in her 1987-1988 category, Katarina touched 4th in her 100 m Breast (time 1:36.96). Go on Kat’ and good luck!!!! Damjan Stankovic, in Round-2 showed all his potencies and confirmed our guess that he is the most perspective swimmer in Belgrade (age of 11 - born 1991). In his 1991 category, he touched the first in100 m Breast (time 1:45.27). Bravo !!!!!

Congratulations and best wishes between two best Clubs’ swimmers and good friends: Igor Rasula (SC Swim Star 2000, Belgrade) and Sebastijan Higl (SC Dinamo from the town of Pancevo), after 400 m Free race (Round-2, January 26, 2002) Mr. Dejan Ilic, our Coach looks after almost everything at the competition….. even the smallest details….. always in busy. It wasn’t easy to have him in front of the cam. But he was nailed a few seconds since Igor Rasula, had touched the first in 400 m Free men . Click here to see the complete Results of the Round-2
