International Open Swimming Competition

The competition upon the patronage
of Serbian Swimming Association, Belgrade, Serbia & Montenegro
| Sporting Club de Braga´s
swimming section has restarted its activities during the season of 1988/89,
after the pause of more then two decades. Swimming team started at that
time with about 12 athletes and has gradually evolved, not only in number
of athletes, but mostly on its competition results. Nowadays, this
club represents the modern swim development of the Portugal Swimming especially
since 2003 upon the Head Coaching of Mr. Sergio Filipovic,
ex-YU National record holder, first Coach of "Swim Star 2000 SC, Belgrade,
two years coach of SC Rari Nantes Ascoli and SC Chimera Nuoto, Arezzo,
Italy, etc... |

| SC Braga has its activities by the
sport complex of Braga including two in-door swimming-pools (25x8 m and
25x16 m), one out-door swimming-pool, also a well equipped gym, a medical
post, and administrative services. In this moment the club's diary receives
about 1500 users in swim facilities, with a technique team of 20 well qualified
professionals to support them, also with an important young and dynamic
directive team. The main services are: - baby swimming classes(12-48 months);-
children swimming classes(4-15 years old); - adult swimming classes (16
and up); - therapeutic swimming; - free swimming; - hydro-swimming; - hydro-gymnastic
and swimming competition... At the competition level, Sporting Clube de
Braga is one of Portuguese clubs with major number of federated swimmers,
and during last years it also has been one of Portuguese clubs with major
podiums conquered at Regional, National championship, European Junior Championships,
also various important International events... |

| Expressing gratitude for the Braga's
participating in this new LEN Serbian Swim event, we're sure that this
event should be a nice chance for all swimmers to reach valuable
times prior to the upcoming European Short Course Champs (December, Austria)...
