Persian abandoned!
One of Lifang's friend found a Persian left by the road side near Metta in the evening! The *bleep* actually left the beautiful persian in a nice new carrier complete with dry food (in a plastic bag) and a cat toy! I would like to think it was left there by mistake but it really looked like an abandonment! How cruel! Imagine if Lifang's friend have not spotted it. My god, the poor baby will be left out in the night! I do not want to imagine what would that do to the poor cat! Another Manja scenario? The Persian is now settling in one of the cubicles at metta. It really looked confused.. hopefully we can find a good home for it in time to come. 波斯猫被遗弃! 傍晚，丽芳的其中一位朋友发现一只波斯猫被遗弃在爱心猫之家附近。那个“bleep”其实把那只漂亮的波斯猫放在一个好看又新的装物的手提厚纸袋里，备有干粮（在一个塑料袋內)与一个猫玩具！我想它是被弄错而遗忘在那里，但是它真的看起来像是被遗弃！ 多么残忍啊！想像如果丽芳的朋友没有发现它。我的天啊！可怜的小宝贝将在外面过一整晚！我不敢想像会有什么事情将发生在这只不幸的猫儿身上．另一个电影情节？现在，波斯猫已经安顿好在爱心猫之家其中一个小室里。它看起来很困惑…希望我们能为她找到一个好家庭． The Persian looks to be in good health and very well-maintained.Really gorgeous.

She was a bit dehydrated and her hair had to be cut short. Gum and teeth are ok. Probably had an ulcer in the throat. Need to give soft food and plenty of water. Bought A/D diet for her. Total Vet Fee plus A/D diet $40" “兽医证明波斯猫是雌性与大约十八个月。她有一点脱水与它的毛发必须剪短。牙床和牙齿都很好。或许咽喉有点溃疡，需要给于充分的清水和松软食物。买了A/D作为日常食品。兽医费用加上A/D食品总数$40.00。

Very "heart pain" to see all her/his (looks to me more female) fur matted into thick thick lumps all over her once-glorious mane! 很“ 痛心”看见她／他（看起来比较像雌性) 那曾经亮丽过的毛髪纠缠成为厚厚的一团一团！ She must be soooo bloody hot in the humidity.... 她一定是很热的在那个湿度里…. On the day the persian was brought into the cattery, Siew Ying said she made sobbing noises .... like a human!! 当天波斯猫被带来爱心猫之家, 秀燕说她发出哭泣声…像人一样！！ She has a very human face... look at her sweet face....她有个很人性化的脸….一张甜美的脸… Siew Ying brought her to the Vet today to ascertain her sex because she simply won't allow anyone to check her rear.. ;-) 今天，秀燕带她到兽医诊所确定她的性别，因为她不允许任何人检查她的后面… Hope she finds a new owner soon.. ALOT of maintenance lor.. alot of work... 希望她早日找到新主人。很多的保养…很多的工作… 3rd April 2004: A lady fetch the persian for grooming at EastCoast. She has very kindly agreed to sponsor the grooming under sedation. An unexpected mishap at the groomer resulted in a cut on the hind-leg that required stitching. All the matted fur was clipped off and frontline was applied. Siew Ying brought the persian home to nurse. 3rd April 2004.一位女士带波斯猫到东海岸给它打扮。她很好心的同意赞助修饰的费用。一个料想不到的不幸事故在打扮过程中，导致一个伤口在那后腿必需缝合。全部的纠缠的毛发已经被修剪。秀燕带波斯猫回家照顾。
4th April 2004: The persian returned to MettaCattery in the morning. She settled well in her "home" - a cubicle in the cattery. She deserves a good second chance in a real home and MettaCattery is not taking chances with her adoption. Adopters will be stringently screened. 4th April 2004. 早晨，波斯猫被送回到爱心猫之家。她很好的安顿在她“家”－一个小室里。她应该会有第二次的好机会进入一个真实的家与爱心猫之家不会放过任何一个被收养机会。收养人将会严格检查。 To the person who dumped this persian and left her in a carrier with a soft toy mouse, we suspect you are the lady who came to the cattery on the 14th of March on the pretext of donating food. No food was donated by you, instead you left this persian outside the cattery that was found not long after you had left. 那个遗弃波斯猫与留下她在装物的手提厚纸袋和一个柔软老鼠玩具的人，我们怀疑你是那个在14March来到猫之家以捐赠食物为借口的女士。你没有捐赠任何食物，反而你把波斯猫放在猫之家的外面，它在你离开后不久被发现。
16th April 2004: While "Princess" was vaccinated today by Dr Aw, it was discovered that this persian wa really a sterilised male. So "Princess" is now "Prince"!16 April 2004. 今天，当Dr Aw 替“Princess”注射免疫疫苗时, 被发现是只已经绝育的雄性的波斯猫。所以“Princess”公主现在变成“Prince”王子。 1st May 2004

He was a bit grouchy yesterday when he arrived home. I kept him in my room for a while and later in the evening allowed him to explore the whole house. And he is still exploring this morning after his breakfast. 昨天，当他抵达家时有点不高兴，我放他在我的房里，傍晚才让他游览整间房子．第二天早餐后，他继续游览各处．
He eat last night and had steamed fish this morning for breakfast. I've also left food and ample water for him. My mum and dad will baby sit "him" today. 他昨晚吃了与今早有蒸鱼做为早餐。我也留下充足的食物和水给他。今天，我的父母亲会看顾 “他”。
I will keep Siew Ying and u posted frequently by email with regards to his well-being. 我会和秀燕维持联系和经电子邮寄时常报告以关心他的康乐。
Thank you for your help and entrusting him with me. I will make sure he feels at home (and I am sure he already is ! !). I kept him with me last night and he slept well except for a few "distractions" which caused to make a babyish sound and soon headed to sleep again. 多谢你们把他交托给我．我一定会令他有在家的感觉．（我肯定他已经有这感觉）．昨晚让他和我在一起，他睡的很好，除了受到干扰时，发出轻微的声音后，很快又继续睡觉．
I would like to thank you and Siew Ying again. Oh yes I noticed he had a bit a diarhoea when he arrived home yesterday. I will monitor through and let u know of the outcome. Any remedies? Will kaolin given on a very small dosage help?

Prince has settled in more comfortably now. I gave him a new toy and he enjoys hitting it around the house. Although it is his second day with us, Prince was involved in the game of catch (chasing my dad around the room) and is more playful now. He munches your hands in a "manja" way. Oh yes! Prince likes turning over his back and asking us to stroke and pat him. He enjoys the attention ! I have adapted. Although I was "homesick" (several months with Metta) for the first few days, I have adapted well to my new home. I have a big garden for myself and enjoy chasing butterflies and little sparrows. When Z tries to cuddle me, I Iove to ran away from her and will let her try to catch me. I love "hopping like a little bunny" and sprint at my new family when they are unaware. Z says that I am a cheeky little fellow! and that I am the "apple of her eyes". I love the pampering - and would you believe it - I simply growl at Z when she tries to brush me everyday ! - nonetheless the pampering and love have done me well and I am truly happy. 我适应了！虽然开始的几天很想家（住在爱心猫几个月了）．新的家很适合我，一个大花园让我享受追逐蝴蝶和小麻雀的乐趣．当Z尝试拥抱我时，我喜欢逃走令她来抓我．当他们不留意时，我就像兔子般在新家四处奔跑．Z说我是无礼的伙，也是她掌上明珠．我喜欢被宠爱．你是否相信，每天当Z尝试替我梳理时，我会发出轻微的鸣叫．尽管如此，她的关怀和宠爱令我觉得很好，很开心． Please tell SY not to worry as I have adapted with my new family. Z's parents simply adores me so does Z! She hugs me before leaving me for work and calls out for me when she returns! She will always talk to me. I know she loves me. I'm glad to hear from you. Prince is doing very well. It is his 3rd week with us. He is very adorable. He has gained some weight. He loves playing in the garden and is very responsive to my call and my parents' call. Prince loves bird-watching, butterfly catching and chases even after small little insects (only he can see) ! He is very attached to his new toy "a pink feather" ! My dad got him a little ball. When in the mood, he will beat and chase it around the room! 我很高兴收到你的电邮，Prince很好，这是他和我们在一起的第三个星期．他很可爱，体重也增加了．他喜爱在花园里玩，对我与我父母亲的叫唤都能很快回应．Prince喜欢看鸟，追逐蝴蝶及很小的昆虫（只有他才能看到）．“粉红羽毛”是最吸引他的新玩具．我父亲给他一粒小球，当他兴起时，会在房间四处追击它．
Although he growls, Prince is very manja and seeks attention by rubbing himself onto us and turns over to be scratched. He watches TV with us! This is "revenge time" as he approaches us, turning over and demanding that we pat and stroke him. He meows at you when he wants to poo or go wee-wee. He loves catching you too! Prince is such great fun ! He doesnt like to be brushed but despite him being obstinate, against all odds, he will still be brushed ! I love the challenge he gives me ! 虽然他会嗥叫，但很惹人疼爱，他翻身抓痒及翻滚磨擦是为了吸引我们对他的注意．趁着与我们一起看电视节目的时刻，他会亲近我们，翻滚和要求我们轻拍及抚摸他．当他要大小便时会喵喵叫．他也喜欢追人．Prince是那么的有趣．尽管他顽强的不要梳洗，却不能如他所愿．我很喜欢这艰难的任务． When I return home from work, he will meet me at my gate when I call and will follow me around the house till I pat him and then will try to bite me and runs off (in a playful manner - he is like a child !). I am happy that we have clicked and he is part of my family now. Even my neices adores him and he loves them too! 每当我放工回家，他会在大门前等候．当我叫他时，便会跟随着直到我轻抚他，会淘气的咬我后就逃跑，他真像个小孩子．很高兴我们能生活在一起，他已经是家中的一份子．即使我的侄女们也很喜爱他，他也喜欢她们． I will make arrangements to have his photo taken and sent to you via email soon.
