The Cat that Can't Meow

Sickly with eyes glued shut by infection, Minky wandered into the path of Terry. He brought her home. That was sometime in early 1998. Showered with tender loving care, Minky blossomed into a very loving gentle lady. She probably lost her voice from the severe kittenhood infection. She could only utter "ek-ek". On 26th December 1998, she made her first "meow". Since then she meows softly when her litter-bin changing or when the food-bin is empty.

This is Minky on 8th November 1998

"Minky the Curious Lady"

Practise silence.
For the voice of God can be heard in the region of the heart
only when the tongue is still.....
Silence is the speech of the spiritual seeker.
Soft sweet speech is the expression of genuine love.
Hate screeches, fear squeals, conceit trumpets-
but love sings lullabies; it soothes, it applies balm. *** Sai Baba***
