This is Ah-Boy, a siamese-cross, rescued by Ms. Lee. One day, he felt from the 2nd storey and injured his eye which eventually has to be removed. He used to be confined in a big cage as he was not neutered. He used to be pretty "fierced". He was neutered at Metta Cattery on the 8th of April 2000 and soon thereafter, he was "freed" from his cubicle. Look at him in the following picture and you decide if he were still "fierce".

31st August 2003

Ah-Boy passed away peacefully at about 5 plus the morning of 22nd October 2003. He had been ill for a while. For the past few weeks, he would sit quietly and serenely  at the entrance of the main cattery whenever sutras were recited in the front porton of the cattery, as if he was accumulating streams of positive energy to prepare him for a journey.  The passing away of Ah-Boy is like the flame of a candle. The flame waned away on one candle to light up another candle.  His body dispersed into the five elements of wind, earth, fire, wood and water but his consciousness continues along with all the connections in his life as Ah-Boy. The connection to everyone who had "sayang" him, especially Siew Ying who rescued him and care for him with motherly tenderness. These connections made create karmic connections for rendezvous in a future time.  In the sadness of farewell, there is a joy that one day we will surely meet again.
