Brought to the cattery sometime before Christmas of December 2003 by an expatriate lady for lodging of 2 weeks, these 3 kittens are still waiting to be picked up.

They are now up for adoption.

These 3 kittens are adorably affectionate. They are about 4- 5 months of age and will make great house companions.

A volunteer named them Pepsi, Coca and Cola!

22nd February 2004

23rd February 2004, 7pm: Helen responded to a call from SY that Coca was unwell and feverish. She brought Coca to her home to foster.  An amazing thing happened when the box carrying Coca was opened.  Coca jumped out and amongst the 5 curious feline bystanders, he ran straight to Cola, his brother who was adopted on 28th January,i.e about 3 weeks ago. They smelled and licked each other in re-acquaintance! The fever broke with the joy of meeting his brother! And they slept side-by-side through the night.

They would have to be fostered or adopted as a pair of inseparable twins! How he must have pined for his two brothers at the cattery! But we didn't understand his meowing.

Pepsi has an infection of the left eye and responded well to daily application of an antibiotic eye ointment.

After MC today, SY and I went to a pet shop somewhere in Sembawang where
two kittens were abandoned in front of a pet shop.  One did not survive despite care temp care by pet shop.  The shop was going to close for CNY starting tomorrow and no one to care for remaining (maybe 5 to 8-DAY old kitten) for all of next week - no feed - no kit. Guess who got to bring it home?  So don't be surprised by my slow or lack of response for the next two weeks or however long it takes a kitten to wean.  I might die before it does (wah! every two hrs feed, remniscent of the good 'ole days when my kids were born...)
Brought Pepsi home today. Judging from how he scoots here and there, I might have to rename him Speedy Gonzales.  No trouble yet from older cats, they're completely mystified by this thing zooming all over the place.  They look like they're watching a tennis game.

Joy's   home now and queen of the place - fought off everybody else for
the much coveted basket with shredded paper.  It's now "hers". ARC says to add water to her wet food and give lactulose 1 ml 2x/day. Increase or decrease as necessary.

She didn't take the IAMS kitten food I bought and went for the Friskies kitten food I put out for Pepsi.  So I added water to the latter.  The big cats are eating the dry kitten food and canned adult food while Pepsi is going for the adult dry and canned food - it's madness right now.  Like everybody has to eat somebody else's food.
Joy looks like she might have some Persian genes in her.  Head and eye shape looks a bit different from all the other cats.

Her 2-day stay at ARC plus, sedation, lavage, etc came to only $60.
(She's now here on my lap as I type this and "scolded" Pepsi as he came near.  Pepsi decided to snuggle up my younger son, Bryan).

That's all for now!
