Cocoa n 3 Babies

"Here's the story about Cocoa and her babies. I live in a townhouse with 10 neighbours. We all share common courtyard and the surrounding land. At a corner of my neighbour's house at the back, there are lots of haleconia plants. One day my husband highlighted to me that he saw a brown cat at our backyard. Out of curiosity I went looking for her. I could hear some kittens meowing but couldn't find them. Then I looked into the plants and saw them. Subsequently I noticed that Cocoa have been going to our rubbish chute (this is a big rubbish chute where all the residents throw their rubbish). I thought if I were to feed her and her babies, they will not cause a nuisance to my neighbours. Apparently not. I've named her Cocoa because I've never seen such a beautiful unusual brown coloured cat like her. And, she seems smaller than a local cat. My husband says he thinks she was abandoned as she seems to adjust to strangers very easily. I decided to neuter her through the help of SOS because I was afraid that she would get herself pregnant again! "

我的邻居屋子后面的角落，栽种了很多植物。一天，我的丈夫告诉我，他看到一只褐色的猫在后院。由於好奇，我去寻找她。但是无法找到它们，不过听到小猫的叫声。接着我看到它们在植物旁边。后来我注意到Cocoa在垃圾槽（这个大的垃圾槽是给所有的住户丢垃圾的）。我想如果喂养她和她的孩子，它们就不会引起邻居的不满。事实却相反，我替她取名叫Cocoa，因为我从来没有见过像她这么漂亮和不寻常的褐色。同时，她的体形似乎比本地猫小。我的丈夫猜想他是被遗弃的，因为她很容易调整与陌生人的关系。我决定向SOS求助以便帮她绝育，因为我怕她会再度的怀孕！”

8th September 2003: A lady called April emailed to MettaCats requesting to adopt a cat from the cattery. In view of the urgency of rescuing Cocoa from being sent to the SPCA where she would most likely be euthanised as the chance of anyone adopting an adult street cat is almost zero, April was told of the plight of this mother cat. It was good news to hear that April adopted Cocoa.

8^th September 2003:　有一位名叫April的女士电邮爱心猫要求从猫之家收养一只猫。正在考虑紧急拯救将被送去SPCA的Cocoa，因为成年野猫被收养的机会等于零，所以在那里她将会被人道毁灭。告知April这只母猫的困境后，终止听到好消息，April收养了Cocoa。

I've checked on Cocoa. April says that she still hides herself but when she calls her, she will respond and go to her. She tells me not to worry.

我去检查Cocoa。April说她还是一直躲藏起来，但是当她呼唤她时，她会回应和走过来。她告诉我不要太过担心。

Let's hope the kittens find good homes too.

愿那些小猫也能找到好的家。
