Minx died peacefully at about 7.30pm in the comfort of Siew Ying and her son, Terry.
Minx was rescued by Siew Ying in Commonwealth when she was very small. It was a rare occasion for Terry to visit the cattery. Was she waiting for him to say good-bye?
She was buried the following day under a banana tree besides the cattery.

Linx
was found to have severe swelling at the penis area today & with
karen's help, was brought to dr nathan for attention.
As Linx was considerable nervous, he was knocked out to enable thorough
checks & cleaning. during which, dr nathan noted that linz has a
relatively small bladder but his condition did not originate from a
blocked bladder.
She advised that if initial treatment with antibiotics does not bring
down the swelling, then surgery wld be the next best option. this wld
invlove removing the penis, a sex-change-like procedure. such a
procedure would normally take abt 1~2 1/2 hrs to perform. while linz was
under anesthesia, dr nathan noted that linx may not be a suitable
candidate to undergo such a lengthy procedure as she suspected he could be
suffering from upper respiratory disease bec of noisy breathing. should he
require the surgery, a chest X-ry would be mandatory & a higher risk
involved.
Linx is now treated with a heavy dosage of antibiotics (cannot remember
the medication name leow) & cleaning of the penis. dr nathan is
reluctant to put linx on drip for fear of too much fluid accumulating
in the bladder, which could in turn be detrimental as linx is experiencing
some difficulties peeing with the swelling.
If the swelling does not come down after the medication & therefore
affecting his urination, then we would need to consider whether to go
ahead with the surgery which would be the next best option, but with
higher risk given that linx may succumb to upper respiratory disease.
Linx is now hospitalised at the clinic for closer observation &
medication.

Dear All
Received a sms from Siew Ying this morning,
" Linx just died :( ". Time :5:44 a.m.
"If It Should Be"
If it should be I grow frail and weak
And pain prevents my peaceful sleep.
Then you must do what must be done
When this last battle can't be won.
You will be sad, I understand.
Selfishness might stay your hand.
But on this day, more than the rest,
Your love and friendship take the test.
We've had so many moments
That what's to come can hold no fears.
You'd not want me to suffer. So,
When the time comes, please let me go.
Take me where my needs they'll tend.
Only -- stay with me until the end.
Hold me firm and speak to me.
Until my eyes no longer see.
I know, in time, you, too, will see
It is a kindness that you do for me.
Although my tail it's last has waved,
From pain and suffering I've been saved.
Do not grieve it should be you.
Who must decide this thing to do.
We've been so close, for all these months......
Don't let your heart hold any tears.
In Loving memory of LINX, I will miss you boy!!

25th May 2001 In Memory of Linx
Santi Yeo wrote this poem:-

Little Braveheat
Farewell Linx
Whose little face
Warm and angelic.
Halo he earns
And keeps.
Watch over us, Linx;
From all at Metta
Cattery.
Our hearts weep.
