1. How did the band get started? How did you meet
and how long have you been together? Sherwood Webber:
The band was started with Noah's buddies from high school. They
have all moved on but Noah persisted and established the current line
up. 2. How would you describe your music?
Sherwood Webber: Death Metal with some real head thrashing
violent riffs. We hope to add a little doomier element with our next
recording. But still unrelenting and brutal!! 3. What
are your biggest influences? Sherwood Webber: I'm
influenced by all kinds of music and the frustrations of life. Without
music I wouldn't have much of a reason to live. 4. What
influence do you think your bands has in music and metal today?
Sherwood Webber: I feel like we're getting more attention
a respect than ever before. It's cool to be appreciated even if it
is by a small percentile of the population. The whole genre of brutal
death is commanding attention now. Bands like Dying Fetus are really
opening the doors. I really feel like they are the next "MORBID ANGEL"
or "CANNIBAL CORPSE". Not stylistically but status in the metal world.
They've driven a real hard underground campaign and the are starting
to get the respect they deserve. 5. What made you want
to be in the band? And if you werent in the band what would
you be doing now? Sherwood Webber: I started
when I was 15. I just liked playing especially the heavy shit. Now
it has taken new meaning. With the band comes the opportunity to travel
and meet interesting people. That pushes the music to new extremes
too. 6. Are any band members in side projects? If so what
are they, and explain a little about them. Sherwood
Webber: I play drums in a band with the guy who does our live
samples, AKIM. It is mainly a live band for now. We have a very theatric
live show with pyro, blood and naked girls. It's fun! I'm also writing
some of the new SKINLESS on drums with Noah. 7. How would
you feel if a band took their sound from yours and became very well
known? Sherwood Webber: I wouldn't care. Most
people have half a mind enough to know better any ways. 8.
What current bands do you like or respect? Sherwood
Webber: CEPHALIC CARNAGE, DYING FETUS, ORIGIN,COFFIN TEXTS from
L.A., DEEDS OF FLESH, NECROPHAGIST. 9. How many demos/albums
do you have? Tell me about them!! Sherwood Webber:
I have a fuck load!!! I fucking hate tapes with a passion but
I have about 4 big boxes full of just old demos. I don't know how
many cds I have, too many!!!! HA! 10. What is the meaning
behind the songs? Sherwood Webber: Older material
had somewhat satirical meanings. New stuff is based on vivid apocalyptic,
destruction, death, suffering type shit. 11. What are
the bands favorite songs? Sherwood Webber: FORESHADOWING
OUR DEMISE and AFFIRMATION OF HATRED are dynamic and fun to play live.
12. What does the future hold for the band?
Sherwood Webber: We're working on releasing a vinyl picture
disc of "Progression Towards Evil" overseas. We just got off a U.S.
tour with Incantation. We want to finish up our new shit and record.
We may also do a small European tour in September. 13.
If you could play with any band who would it be and why?
Sherwood Webber: SABBATH, because they rule and it is impossible
for that to ever happen. Many Sabbath fans would hate us any ways.
14. Who writes the majority of the music? Sherwood
Webber: Noah. 15. Who has been the favorite band youve
played with and why? Sherwood Webber: We've played
with so many great bands it's hard to pick out a favorite. Anybody
who drinks beer is sure to get along great with us! 16.
Where did you get the band name from? Sherwood Webber:
SKINLESS BUTT PORTION. It was on a package of chicken. Luckily
the dropped the latter part of the name before I joined the band!!
17. Describe what the band is like live? Sherwood
Webber: A lot of wild thrashing, beer spilling, and brutal mosh
action. 18. If you are gonna do any kind of video what
would be in it? Sherwood Webber: As a matter of
fact we are going to compile a video very soon. It will feature live
footage, drunken wrestling, and tits. 19. Are there any
touring plans made; if so tell me about them? Sherwood
Webber: We just finished a US tour with INCANTATION that ended
abruptly due to reasons beyond our control. I love touring, now that
we're not on tour I have a hard time keeping myself occupied. I've
just been writing riffs on bass drinking beer and trying to avoid
getting a real job!!! 20. Where do you think the band
will be 20 years from now? Sherwood Webber: Certainly
not still together I hope. We'll be fat slobs by then but who knows??????????
