1. How did the band get started? How did you meet
and how long have you been together?
Skinny: Mushroomhead
started in 1993 as a side project - we'd known each other and played
in bands together since high school.
2. How would you
describe your music?
Skinny: Fucked up, large
buckets of blood dumped on young children at recess in wintertime.
3. What are your biggest influences?
Skinny:
The Residents, Pink Floyd - bands that wrote tunes to express
themselves and didn't really care too much about whether people liked
them or not.
4. What influence do you think your bands
has in music and metal today?
Skinny: Hopefully
something substantial that will last - we get the sense fans are having
a good time with it - more and more are showing up to shows in costume.
5. What made you want to be in the band? And if you weren't
in the band what would you be doing now?
Skinny:
I've never second guessed it - I have always been in a band and
always will be. Doing anything else was never an option.
6. Are any band members in side projects? If so what are they,
and explain a little about them.
Skinny: Just about everyone has one or more side projects.

7. How would you feel if a band took their
sound from yours and became very well known?
Skinny:
I'd feel special!

or respect?
Skinny: Mindless Self Indulgence,
Krazy Bone
9. How many demos/albums do you have? Tell
me about them!!
Skinny: We've put out four releases
independently; M3 in 1999, Remix in 1997, Superbuick in 1996 and our
self-titled debut in 1995.

like the best?
Skinny: The remix because its out
of print!
11. What is the meaning behind the songs?
Skinny: Brutal honesty
12. What are the bands
favorite songs?
Skinny: "Before I Die"
and "43" from our new album ?XX?.

the future hold for the band?
Skinny: A bigger
bus!
14. If you could play with any band who would it
be and why?
Skinny: Fear Factory, because they
shred!
15. Who writes the majority of the music?
Skinny: Depends who you ask. Seriously.

Who has been the favorite band you've played with and why?
Skinny: GWAR - they are really nice guys.

Where did you get the band name from?
Skinny: Actually,
I had the name before the band even existed. I just thought it was
a cool word.
18. Describe what the band is like live?
Skinny: A memorable experience, we think.
19. If you are gonna do any kind of video what would be in
it?
Skinny: It would be stark with just enough
going on to keep the imagination flowing. And NO product endorsements!
20. Are there any touring plans made; if so tell me about
them?
Skinny: We just finished up with WASP and
everyone is working on some very cool possibilities for the fall and
winter.
21. Where do you think the band will be 20 years
from now?
