1. How did the band get started? How did you meet
and how long have you been together?
Peter Iwers:
Jesper, Glenn and Johan drank and played some music one day, and
lied their way into a record deal. Then they were pressured. 'Cause
they had said that they had 14 songs, and they only had 3. Then they
wrote Lunar Strain over night.
2. How would you describe
your music?
Peter Iwers: Good -- hehe. Plain
old good music, with all kinds of styles combined into one style -
the IF sound.
Hard question man, we´re rock combined with metal, death metal,
pop, and jazz.
3. What are your biggest influences?
Peter Iwers: Personal: Mike Porcaro, Les Claypool. In
Flames: Iron Maiden, Dio, Helloween, and lots and lots more.
4. What influence do you think your bands has in music and metal
today?
Peter Iwers: I hope that we have the same
kind of influence that our idols had on us, but maybe that´s
too big. I hope we have managed to give a positive impression, bringing
more people into music.
5. What made you want to be in
the band? And if you weren’t in the band what would you be doing
now?
Peter Iwers: Good question. I was asked
at one point a few years back, and I accepted gladly, cause I dug
the music. Otherwise, I would be playing in another band, doing the
same thing somewhere else.
6. Are any band members in
side projects? If so what are they, and explain a little about them.
Peter Iwers: Jesper has Hammerfall - traditional metal,
and Dimension Zero - Grind. I have something with my brother- rock,
and I think Anders has something with Niklas from Gardenian.
7. How would you feel if a band took their sound from yours and
became very well known?
Peter Iwers: Proud!!!
8. What current bands do you like or respect?
Peter Iwers: Soilwork, Arch Enemy, Slayer, Maiden, Rhcp, Jeff
Buckley - tons of them!! I´m a music lover!!!

How many demos/albums do you have? Tell me about them!! What demo/album
do you like the best?
Peter Iwers: I have more
than I can mention of course, but right now, my fave album is Jeff
Buckleys live CD.
10. What does the future hold for the
band?
Peter Iwers: Lots of touring and fun -
beer, women, drugs - (NOT!!)
11. If you could play with
any band who would it be and why?
Peter Iwers: In
flames - cause they´re so damn cool - and Primus.

Who writes the majority of the music?
Peter Iwers:
Jesper and Björn does the music, Anders the lyrics, and then
we all put it together.
13. Who has been the favorite
band you’ve played with and why?
Peter Iwers:
In Flames, cause we had the best of times ever, together, and
we´ll have many more to come.
14. Describe what the
band is like live?
Peter Iwers: Aggressive, progressive,
and very very hard. We have built up a unique stage appearance that
makes us all really comfortable, so I guess we´re pretty fun
to watch live, cause we enjoy ourselves a lot.
15. Where do you think the band will be 20 years from now?
Peter Iwers: We´ll never know - On Hollywood Boulevard
perhaps, or somewhere having a few beers. I don´t know, but I
know we´ll still be playing. |
