Mobs of wide-eyed hipsters gathered at downtown Manhattan's Tower Records to catch LIZ PHAIR perform (those who couldn't squeeze in stood on parked cars outside to get a peek). Live, you ask? Yep, she played an hour-long set, unveiling three new songs, including "Wasted", complete with burbling bong sounds. "I'm never getting over the stage fright," says the recently engaged Phair. "It's just a fact of life."
