  • Michael Simone:  Barney's Beanery, 8447 Santa Monica Blvd, West Holllywood, CA 90069, PH: 310-654-2287.  A surprisingly grungy, dive-y beer-bar right in the heart of Yuppy-Land (i.e.the "nice part" of Santa Monica Blvd.) Excellent beer and food, fairly priced. Reminds me of what would happen if the Goat Hill Tavern (Costa Mesa) decided to clean-up it's act a little and move to L.A. Check this place out, but leave the wive/kids at home...!
