  • Michael Simone:  Barney's Beanery, 8447 Santa Monica Blvd, West Holllywood, CA 90069, PH: 310-654-2287.  A surprisingly grungy, dive-y beer-bar right in the heart of Yuppy-Land (i.e.the "nice part" of Santa Monica Blvd.) Excellent beer and food, fairly priced. Reminds me of what would happen if the Goat Hill Tavern (Costa Mesa) decided to clean-up it's act a little and move to L.A. Check this place out, but leave the wive/kids at home...! Barney's Beanery 8447 Santa Monica Blvd. West Hollywood, CA 90069 (310) 654-2287 Barney's Beanery is the best bar to kick back with your buddies. The Beer list is out of this world, ranging from many great Trappists ales to regular old Budweiser. The bartenders are very cool (Doc is the man at Barney's). We had a blast at Kareoke, the women there are nice and down to earth. Doc's rendition of "Baby got Back" on Kareoke is a must see.
