Remember, if you have half as much fun reading this as I had writing it, that means I had twice the fun you did!

Wednesday, January 30, 2002 I think I'm in love. Not "with who", rather "with what". Mum drove me to the University, or at least the part that contains the Mathematics and Computes division. (I'm not entirely sure on the wocabulary for these things.) It's a freshly constructed building in just outside of town. ("Kinda rural", Mum said. "Rural nothing, it's wild untamed Nature!", I protested.) Pine woods all around, lots of nice fresh air. And the building itself... Some could call it cold, unpersonal or unfriendly. I think it's elegant, clean and modern. It's all covered in glass and looks like a midget skyscraper. The whole place is a wonderful "best of both worlds" of city and countryside. It's like a modern Rivendell where you could spend the rest of your life without ever being bored. I'm really tempted to call it some Elvish name. In the meantime I have my own Ring to bear, one that grows ever heavier as the final exam of high school, matura (the Bacculerate) approaches. I hope I don't break under the weight and slip into a dark world of trivial Internet jobs that will stop me from studying and suck my bank account dry. Then I will doubtless be trapped in a Dilbert-like cubicle for the rest of my life. At least I have the heroic tales of heroes long gone to give me strenght - such as the story of John Four-Eyes and the Music of Power. With that hope to guide me, I'm off to battle. (Goes to study) Monday, January 28, 2002 From the LotM archives We Quendorians call this: to be smashed out of one's mind. Just for future reference, Luci-kun. Sunday, January 27, 2002 About Devil May Cry... Next time you need a laugh, get a hold of some French person and tell them to say "Devil May Cry, by the creators of Resident Evil". I heard it in a commercial on French TV and I couldn't stop laughing... yeah, I know it's wrong.
Saturday, January 26, 2002 ![]() You are happy go lucky, hyper, and sometimes lazy, but who can blame you? You got a job, an awesome sword collection to mantain, and some Final Fanasty games to play. But you also do the very awesome Real Life Which webcartoonist Are You? Posted 2:56 PM . You gotta problem with that? Friday, January 25, 2002 "What are we doing tonight, Simon?" "Same thing we do every night Ben. Try to TAKE OVER THE WORLD!" They're Simon, they're Simon and the Ben, Ben, Ben, Ben...
Today I bought a pack of Harry Potter (TM, (c), (R), UseItAnd We'llCurseYou*And*SueYourAss WB) Bertie Bott's all-flavoured Beans. The first one was Strange Artificial Thingy And Sugar flavored. So was the second, third, and just about every one of them. Must be a themed pack. Tuesday, January 15, 2002 Dammit, since I bought this computer my scanner's been giving me trouble. The pictures come out all messed up like this. It's not so bad with the more simple ones, but I drew a really great pic of SailorM looking all sad and shoujo-like and it came out *really* bad. Ugh. Time for a new scanner.
Wednesday, January 09, 2002 I played "gold digger" today. I went to Google and typed in "Beatles+manga". This yielded among others an IRC channel list, a slash fanfic index (I'm not touching that one with a ten-foot pole. And I *am* a Pole.), a whole load of action figure, movie poster and video sites, and one little nugget: a sketch of Beatles in Anime-style, found at this site. The top four are really cute pure manga Chibi-Beatles (the others are somewhat Disney-like). The style is very similar to my own. Obligatory Test Results today... with a twist. Doesn't look too good. I drew the picture for the second frame too small and I had to enlarge it. I still need some work before I can start my own on-line manga. :) Thursday, January 03, 2002 Meagen's School Corner My mum drove halfway across town today to get me a really good math book that was out of print. It's a very good revision of everything I learned in high school, starting with the baisic stuff I learned 4 years ago and working up to the most recent topics. Here's an example from the first page: Looks difficult, doesn't it? But it's not, you just need to know the trick. 2 2 (x - 1) x (x - 2) = 0 | and again ^_^ x - 1 = 0 or x = 0 or x - 2 = 0 | if a x b x c =0, then either a = 0, b = 0, or c =0. thus, x = 0 or x = 1 or x = 2 |
