Sunday night I went to bed at 8, studied Biology till 9 and went to sleep. I woke up at 1 AM feeling rested. So I decided to read a bit more of Freefall and go back to sleep. I read up to episode 240 before 2 AM. But then I couldn't sleep. It may have to do with the bottle of Coke I drank, the fact that I slept too long this weekend (which always gives me trouble getting to sleep), or my cat who kept scratching on my door half the night.

I just lay there for several hours, making plans for Codename: SailorM and replaying "A Hard Day's Night" and "Yellow Submarine" in my head. At 4:30 AM I though "Okay, no use going to sleep now, I'll just wait till 5 and catch some more Freefall before I have to go to school."

Predictably enough, I soon drifted off to sleep. Somewhere between working at a secret goverment agency and acting as Senshi bodyguard to my best friend, I managed to meet up with the Beatles (live-action types). I snuggled up to Ringo but he told me he was engaged. It was a mixed-up dream as usual.

For some reason, despite not having slept half the night, I was in a great mood all day. After school Magnesse came to my house to watch Yellow Submarine (she doesn't have a VCR). Apparently she's been having problems lately, although she wouldn't tell me anything specific.

In the evening I watched a bit of "The Rock" on TV. (Action movie where Sean Connery plays a retired James Bond-type spy who has to get a chemical weapons expert into Alcatraz to stop highly toxic missles from being fired.) Totally standart American fare (Laws of Drama followed to the letter). The car chase was fun, though.

And yesterday I finally decided what to draw for my online manga. I was thinking about two or three stories, all of them needing far more drawing skill than I have. But now I've decided to make a strip out of a Sailor Moon fanfic (sort of) that Magnesse and me have been writing based on our lives. Starring Meagen as Sailor Andromeda, Magnesse as Sailor Aimant and a talking hamster.

Yay! Alex-chan and Meg care enough about my blog to link it! So I'm returning the favor. ^_^

Yesterday's two Beatles movies watched in succesion have led me into a state of what I call "information overflow". It's when your head hurts from thinking about too many things at once, you're terribly tired but you can't sleep, you're bored to death but you can't listen to, read or watch anything or it will just get worse.
The only thing to do is to find an activity which requires your brain to use information instead of taking it in. Like math. A few logarithms later I was feeling a lot better. ^_^

I'm reading "Freefall", an online comic, in another browser window. I got the link from Unicorn Jelly. It's hilarious.

Biology test tomorrow... Need to study.

Recently I've managed to contact Beatlemania, a disease common among teens in the 60s and 70s. My immunity to it was already severly damaged by my mum (who listens to Beatles songs) and my music teacher (who taught us to sing "Yesterday" and "Let it Be"). But the clincher was the '68 full-lenght cartoon "Yellow Submarine" which mum bought for, lesse, little more than a dollar.

I've watched it so many times as to quote entire sections (although I still don't get the "sub-scribers" joke) and have "Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band" constantly playing in my head. From now on Beatles are my Third Reason Why Britain Is Cool (the first two being Monty Python and Terry Pratchett).

Codename: SailorM is suffering from too many things I'd like to put in. This includes a meeting with an alternate universe cast, a cameo by Chis-kun, some psedo-symbolical stuff, some photos (AKA shamelessly putting in Meg-chan's artwork) and a Yellow Submarine. I'll either have to make some serious cuts, or make it a really long series. Question is, will I manage to pull it through, or will I get discouraged half-way?

It would help if I got some comments from the readers. I hate feeling invisible. Of course, OW hasn't posted vol. 2 yet, and when I try sending the file to the Kami storehouse I get an an invalid adress message. I'm considering dividing it into 2 parts (it's 1,2 MB zipped) and sending to Alex-chan's Geocities adress.

[Later] Ack... I've watched two other Beatles movies. "Help" was just... too American. Either some evil Yanks have been at work, or the British tried to make a movie that would appeal to Americans. Either way, it's un-fun. It may have action, humor, songs, and partially unclothed Beatles, but it just lacks... something. The wossname. Je-ne-sais-quoi. Thingy.

Word of advice. Don't watch Beatles movies and read MiSTed anime fanfics at the same time. It may take a while for me to take care of all the crazy ideas and mental images floating around my head. Classic music and studying for Biology and History might help.

Writing a fanfic with the Beatles in it... am I crazy enough?

Whew! Just this morning I have been forced to talk to my class about the Internet. Due to being totally unprepared (I was too busy studying for Geography to even think about what to say), I managed to say absolutely nothing of interest. Everyone who had been on the Net knew that already and everyone who hadn't didn't have a clue anyway. I bored everyone nearly to sleep and still got a good mark (after being instructed on the proper pronounciation of "adress").

I finally started working on SailorM vol.3 again. Still having trouble finding the right music, though. I may have to dig through my Kami archive.

And so a young girl bravely enters the world of on-line journals. I really don't know how often I will be posting here or how long I can keep doing this before I get bored. Maybe I should start with a few words about myself. I go by the Net name of Meagen (read as "Maygan"), which is a misspelt Megan. I did that double mistake long ago when I was first learning English and kept it ever since just to stand out.

I'm quite smart, not too ugly, a die-hard optimist and generally cheerful person. My main faults are being lazy and egocentric. I'm not too strong or athletic, although quite agile. My interests and hobbies fall into three large cathegories: computers, manga and comedy.

I'm also very creative and think up stories by the dozen. Mostly comedy ones, with the odd serious one when I'm in the right mood. I usually dabble with my stories a bit, maybe even write up half a chapter, then leave them because of the aforementionned laziness and a lack of ideas.

I'm currently in my before-last year of high school. I'd like to work with computers for a living some day and maybe draw a manga or two on the side.
