Abel
started his
successful career at the age of 12, when
the group had the name "Menudo"
and was composed of kids under the age of
15. He was a sweet, charismatic boy. His
eyes and long hair attracted an enormous
crowd of fans of all ages: babies, girls,
teens and even old ladies loved him! But
time passed and the little boy turned
into an attractive teenager and later
into a young adult. So, his fans were in
"shock" when he married and
became the father of a baby girl.

This event marked a
new stage for the group, which until the
moment had been composed of single boys.
The group changed physically and in
style. They used to sing "bubble
gum" for girls and now their style
is even liked by the males. Abel
got divorced, and recently (January 2002)
became father of his second baby girl
(not from the same mother of the first).
His girlfriend is from Puerto Rico and
lives in Miami.
