Shane McMahon News for February, 2001
February 24, 2001: Stephanie was on Byte This! Thursday (February 22, 2001) and she did mention Shane briefly. The following is from www.pwtorch.com :
Prichard asked if Stephanie knew where Shane was. She seemed a little caught off guard by this one. She said she didn't know, and that Shane had been very busy with the New Media division and the XFL (I'd venture that we might be seeing Shane sooner rather than later)....
The next caller asked whether in future, Stephanie would take over the business with Shane. She said that seemed to be the plan.
If you would like to hear the interview, you can check out www.wwf.com. A lot of people are saying that Shane will be returning at No Way Out. But again, they have been saying this for the last few months. I'll gave Shane until the Raw after No Way Out. After that, well...I'm giving up and saying he is never coming back! :( I have a question for everyone: Has your interest in wrestling decreased since Shane's hiatus? Post your thoughts in the boardroom! Lets hope he'll come back tomorrow night! :) PS-I am still working on that Raw magazine article; it's very long!
February 16, 2001: The March 2001 edition of Raw Magazine has an interview with Vince McMahon. In it he talks quite a bit about Shane McMahon. I will type out this article a.s.a.p. and post it here. :) Also, on the February 15th, 2001 edition of "Byte This" with Steve Blackman and Raven, Blackman stated that his match with Shane at Summerslam was one of the highlights of his career.
February 15, 2000: According to www.rajahwwf.com a televised ad is running in Orlando, FL for No Way Out that states "The return of a WWF superstar will leave no way out for the Rattlesnake" and a picture of Shane McMahon appears on the screen. Does anyone think this is a sign of Shane's return?
February 14, 2000: Happy Valentines Day, everyone! Our resident Valentine, Shane McMahon, still hasn't shown up on WWF TV yet. I am hoping that he will return at the next PPV; I don't know how much longer I can wait. Does anyone else agree with me? Since it's Valentine's Day, I have some very sweet information to share with you from Chyna's new book: If They Only Knew. Sk8SJenn@aol.com happened to be skimming over the book when she came across a Shane mention. Here is her summary of it:
I came to the part where she talks a little about the Emmys. She says that HHH was defending his title at a house show and that is why she asked Shane to go with her. She says quite a few nice things about him. She has how much she trusts him and that he would crawl over broken beer bottle to help a friend in need.
...and people wonder why we love this man so much! :) I have never heard anyone say anything bad about Shane, and I don't think it's because he is their future boss. Well, keep posting at the boardroom, guys! Have a good Valentines Day. :)
February 12, 2000: I haven't heard any Shane rumors as of late; I don't know if that is good or bad! =| However, I was strolling through Wrestlemania.com. I checked out the Wrestlemania 6 section and look what I found:
Prior to the Pay-Per-View, a special "dark match" was held for the fans inside the SkyDome, as Federation technicians made final preparations for the broadcast to start. The referee for that match was none other than Shane McMahon.
Did anyone see that? I am assuming that if it was a dark match, it wouldn't be on the Wrestlemania 6 tape. Does anyone know? I would sure like to see it and what Shane-O looked like back in the day! :) Well, it's Monday night, and *maybe* we'll see...Shane! :) Keep your fingers crossed everyone!
February 2, 2000: The Rumor Sites are saying Shane has been receiving heat from the wrestlers for Shane pushing his favorite wrestler's, Big Show and Test. The wrestlers apparently or saying that they find it unfair. Speaking of the Big Show, he was on Byte This! Thursday, and this is what he had to say about Shane, according to www.wrestlingdotcom.com :
They go to the phones, and the caller asks The Big Show if he's going to team back up with Shane McMahon when he comes back. The Big Show says that he doesn't know, and he did keep in contact with Shane while he was in OVW. He has an up and down relationship with Shane, and one day the future of the WWF is going to be in Shane's hands, and he wants to make a good impression on Shane. It never hurts to have the boss in your back pocket when you're running for the WWF Championship.
Hmmm....very interesting. How do you guys feel about that? Keep in touch, everyone. :)
February 1, 2000: I found this piece of news/rumor from www.top-rope.com :
Some people are saying that Shane McMahon's presence on the WWF booking team is already apparent since the Big Show and Test, two of his favorites, are already getting pushed. Apparently, the Big Show was brought back early at Shane's request, despite several other influential members lobbying against it.
I find this interesting, because I wasn't really expecting Big Show to come back when he did. Everything I heard was pointing to Show not coming back for quite some time. You know how those rumors are though. ;) Like, all those rumors that Shane is coming back soon! Yeah, like *that* is going to happen. ;) Keep posting at the boardroom guys!
