Shane McMahon news for January, 2001

January 30, 2000:  The rumor boards still continue to say that Shane will be returning soon.  Many say Shane will either side with the Big Show or Benoit, starting a feud between the two.  Shane has been sided with both men in the past.

January 24, 2000:  Well, it seems as though we are still Shane-less.  This is starting to become very depressing...maybe more like irritating.  We keep hearing that he is coming back, but these rumors never seem to come through.  Well, here are some more rumors.  Maybe these will be a little more accurate!

From wrestlingdotcom.com:

Rumor One: Shane McMahon’s role in the production of WWF TV continues to expand. While Stephanie has more responsibility as part of the booking team, Shane is also getting to handle more issues. He has recently been doing some work producing the backstage vignettes for some WWF wrestlers. Both Shane and Stephanie are well respected by the other WWF wrestlers and workers, as they do not act as though they are entitled to their jobs, they work hard and try to earn respect.

Rumor 2:  Shane McMahon is expected to return in the next few weeks. It is unknown at this time what his role will be. Currently, Shane is one of the head bookers for the WWF Writing team.

It's nice to know Shane is really starting to become apart of the behind the scenes aspect of the WWF.  Now, if we could just get him to show up on WWF TV once and a while. ;)

Now, I'd like to briefly address a rumor that you may have read about in the boardroom.  I honestly do not believe Shane and Marissa are going through a divorce at the moment.  I'd like to know where people are getting this information from, if so, then maybe I would give the thought the time of day.  It's easy to make up stories, it's just backing them up that's the hard part.  :)

January 21, 2000:  Well, today is the big day!  Will Shane be on or not?  Hmm.  Do you  have any last minute predictions? Post your thoughts at the boardroom.  I also heard that Shane may end up being Raven's mystery driver.  I personally would prefer Shane to be involved in his father's storyline, but I guess anything is better than nothing! :)

January 20, 2000:  With Royal Rumble just around the corner, I thought it would be a good time to give you the latest updates on Shane's possible return.  If you remember, in one of JR's recent columns, he said that Shane *may* return at Royal Rumble, but nothing was "etched in stone".  Now, on Friday (January 19) afternoon, Stephanie was on Opie & Anthony, which is a radio show in New York.  She said that Shane has been doing a lot of production work off camera lately, but apparently, she didn't say anything about a possible Shane return.  Now, I just read at top-rope.com, that Shane has mainly been working on WWF.com, and XFL.com, but at this time, there are no plans to bring him back.  I hope the latter isn't true.  I really have my hopes up for a Shane McMahon return at the Royal Rumble tomorrow night.  If he doesn't, I'll be so upset I'll fail my finals the next day in school! LoL!  Come on, Shane...you don't want me to fail Geometry and French, do you? ;) Keep your fingers crossed, everyone! :)

January 13, 2000:  For those of you who don't know, Shane's birthday is Monday!  As you can see, I'm trying to celebrate it here a little bit at McMahon-Mania! with a Shane-O Birthday banner and background fireworks (if you can't see them, try another browser, if you have one).  Shane-O-Mac is going to be 31, and he still looks like he's about 16, huh?
