MONUMENT 20.

Location: Monument 20 was found by a local inhabitant in the eastern portion of the great plaza of Mound Group 2 in 1950 and it was placed in the site museum at its dedication in 1975.

Associations: None recorded.

Condition: Broken and battered beyond identification.

Carved Areas: Sculpture in the round.

Material: This monument was found subsequent to Williams' work. However, there is nothing about it to suggest that its material is any different than that of Monument 1.

Dimensions: Height 40 cm, Width 33 cm, Depth 38 cm.

Description: Monument 20 is a roughly hemispherical piece of stone with two carved declivities, perhaps representing eyes.
