Green People

Green People

Every one has a color
Different from their skin
The colors change with influence
As soon as life begins

From purest white we start out
Polluted as we grow
And join among the ugly green
In a rapid river flow

Green people all around us
Doing what others do
Leaving green thoughts behind them
With a sticky residue

Green breathing air, exhaling
Filling rooms with their disease
Making ways that were uneasy
Seem willingly to please

It's easy for one to join them
As millions of us do
And harder to stay a color
On a truer side of blue
