Welcome back again. We hope you all had a good break.

Before we closed for Easter we discussed the possibility of organising a visit to the Science Museum.

Brian and I visited the Museum during the break and met up with Colin Jackson, one of the Museum staff. He very kindly gave us a conducted tour of the galleries which he thought would be of interest to club members.

Colin introduced us to Reg and Richard who are responsible for the running of the Babbage machine, which is the Victorian precursor of the computer. If we do decide to take a group to the Science Museum they will be able to arrange to have the machine running and be able to answer any questions on this wonderful machine.

If you are interested in a visit to the Science Museum would you please put your name on the list available when signing in.

Meanwhile have a look at the Science Museum website.

The Digitopolis exhibition in the Wellcome Wing is very interesting and a lot of fun. We are also allowed to sneak into the children's area and have fun with their interactive exhibits, preferably after 3:00 pm!
