Here's the scoop...

Matthew is set to take part in a romantic comedy which will be about a romantic, cynic who copes up with the hardships and trials of love. The movie which has not yet been titled will also be about Valentine's Day. The film is being made by the same company that brought to us the movie blockbuster, Scooby-Doo.

Yes, it has been confirmed that a next installment of Scooby-Doo is scheduled for a 2004 release. Surprisingly Warner execs gave the go signal last June 17,2002 to do another movie. Director Raja Gosnell is set to direct the sequel while the lead cast of Scooby-Doo namely Freddie Prinze, Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar, Matthew Lillard and Linda Cardellini were stated to be signed in the sequel as well. Looks like another round on the Mystery Machine for Scooby and the gang.

Real life sweet hearts Freddie Prinze, Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar were upset over an early wedding rumor brought about by their Scooby-Doo co-star Matthew Lillard. In an interview with E! correspondent Patrick Stinson Matthew unknowingly slips saying, "There's nothing better than working for six months with people who are happy and in love and so that was a real treat. They're kind of glowing and 'newlyweds' and that's fun." Whoops! Since the "newlywed" incident the couple has joked about Lillard's gaffe though Gellar's publicist insists he was "just goofing about".

Young matinee idol Freddie Prinze, Jr. sure knows how to put on a practical joke. The actor admits on "bombing" co-star Matthew Lillard's trailer during one of the actor's days off stating that he did his business there after his morning coffee. The deal was he didn't flush and he then turned on the heat so the whole trailer would smell "mighty fine". 24 hours later poor Lillard enters his foul smelling trailer in dismay. Freddie confesses of having done practical jokes on set and that it was the fourth time Matthew got victimized. When Matthew learned that it was Freddie who pulled off the prank, he was a little upset saying, "The worse thing about it was there was no water in the toilet." Unfortunately he had to clean up after his co-star's mess.
