CHARLES COULSON RICH was born August 21, 1809, in Big Bone, Campbell County, Kentucky, and died November 17, 1883, in Paris, Bear Lake, Idaho, at the age of seventy-four. He was buried on November 20, 1883, at City Cemetery, Paris, Bear Lake, Idaho. He was a member of the Mormon Church. He had six wives and fifty children.

CHARLES COULSON RICH married first to SARAH DeARMON PEA at Far West, Caldwell County, Missouri. Sarah was born September 23, 1814, at Lookinglass Prairie, St. Claire County, Illinois, the daughter of JOHN PEA and ELIZABETH KNIGHTON. She died on December 12, 1893, at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah, and was buried September 16, 1893, at City Cemetery, Paris, Bear Lake, Idaho.

• SARAH JANE RICH, born March 4, 1839, at Burton (near Quincy), Adams County, Illinois; died August 5, 1926, at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah, and is buried there.

• JOSEPH COULSON RICH, born January 16, 1841, at Nauvoo, Hancock County, Illinois; died October 17, 1908, at Centerville, Davis County, Utah, and is buried at Paris, Bear Lake County, Idaho.

• ARTIMISSIA MESSENIAH RICH, born January 15, 1843, at Nauvoo, Hancock County, Illinois; September 12, 1843, at Nauvoo, Hancock County, Illinois, and is buried there.

• CHARLES COULSON RICH III, born September 2, 1844, at Nauvoo, Hancock County, Illinois; died June 8, 1890, at Vernal, Utah County, Utah, and buried there on June 11, 1890.

• FREDERICK CARMEL RICH, born July 19, 1859, at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah; died April 26, 1941, at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah, and was buried there on April 29, 1941.

CHARLES COULSON RICH married second on January 6, 1845, to ELIZA ANN GRAVES who was born June 3, 1811, at Waterford, Calidonia County, Vermont, a daughter of REUBEN GRAVES and PHOEBE PALMER. She died on June 2, 1879, at Paris, Bear Lake County, Idaho, and was buried there on June 3, 1879.

• ELIZA ANN RICH, born November 14, 1848, at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah; died February 11, 1849, and is buried at Pioneer Cemetery, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah.

• FRANCES PHOEBE RICH, born June 30, 1850, at Big Cottonwood, Salt Lake City, Utah; christened March 7, 1852, at Farmington, Davis County, Utah; died November 28, 1932, at Paris, Bear Lake County, Idaho; and was buried there.

CHARLES COULSON RICH married third on January 6, 1845 (NOTE: This was also the day he married ELIZA ANN GRAVES), to MARY ANN PHELPS, who was born August 6, 1829, near Peoria, Tazewell County, Illinois, the daughter of MORRIS CHARLES PHELPS and LAURA CLARK. She died April 17, 1912, at Paris, Bear Lake County, Idaho, and was buried there on April 19, 1912.

She died on November 29, 1893, at Paris, Bear Lake County, Idaho, and is buried there in City Cemetery.
