Just A
Dreamer

I
sit staring into space, emptiness
Recreating my life, as I want it to be
Clear blue skies, cool silky breeze
A soft kiss from the sun

Just a dreamer
yes, that's me
Makes life easier, don't you see

I recreate yours too,
Removing all traces of hate
A hate so ingrained it makes you ache
Eyes so hollow, like those of the dead

Just a dreamer
Yes, that's me
Makes like easier, don't you see

The drink in your hand, you truest friend
The stench that flows from your mouth
Your soul so blackened,
That filled glass, your mildest sin

Just a dreamer
Yes, that's me
Makes like easier, don't you see

The longing for normality, clearly there
You hold it in without a care
The look in your eyes, that of despair
What you seek, it isn't here

Just a dreamer
Yes, that's me
Makes like easier, don't you see

Your life so miserable
You want others to feel it too
The goodness in others, greatly haunts you
Try a bit of kindness, see how it feels

Just a dreamer
Yes, that's me
Makes like easier, don't you see
