If
I Could Paint You
by
Mary E.S.
If
I could
paint you....
I
would gently
brush over your soft lips
Making
them
rich pink
from
a kiss so passionately
Soft,
sweet,
even strokes, is what I would use...
Not
missing
one line or curve
If
I could
paint you....
I
would put
the twinkle in your soft eyes
Making
them
shine with undying love
Then
I would
swirl your cheekbones into shape
Making
those
dimples stand out on your handsome face
If
I could
paint you....
I
would sculpt
your fine shoulders, so strong
Making
soft
wisps with the brush to form your chest
Trembling
as I shape your heart so swollen with love
Making
it
the brightest of red,
careful strokes to shape it
If
I could
paint you...
I
would paint
your arms outstretched to hold me
I
would add
the warmth I
know is there
And
I would
embrace the painting with love
Stepping
back
to look... I would feel you
If
I could
paint you....
