We keep telling you how good Nashbait is, and here's the photographic
evidence to prove it: a new British record and the UK's first ever 60lb-plus
carp. Two-Tone, the elusive mirror that's been targeted by the nation's top big
fish men has been caught by Nashbait guru Gary Bayes at 61lb from mid-Kent
fisheries, Conningbrook.
Gary, from billericay, Essex, who works full time at the nearby Nashbait factory,
caught the fish on his 'S' Mix Squid All Season, with Scopex No1. 1, Red Liver
Oil Palatant and intense sweetner. He used one Airball pop-up and one bottom
bait snowman-style on a size 4 Fang tied to a Tricklink hook link. The new
record was landed on a 3lb TC Nash Pursuit rod and weighed on 112lb Nash
Hooker Scales, which have been verified by weights and measures. It was
Gary's monster Pursuit boilies that terry Hearn used to break the record when
he caught Wraysbury's Mary at 55lb 13oz, proving again that Nashbait is the
best bait for the bigger fish.
