.......... WinZZT, what that you ask? Well, if you never heard of ZZT, you might not even have a basic idea. Well, WinZZT is based on ZZT, a game made in 1991, and this is a clone with some more power. I asked permission from the author to make this. Well, ZZT used to be this shareware textbased RPG type of game that allows you to edit and make games. Not many years ago, the author made it freeware. After that, many people thought ZZT did not have enough powers, so they made clones. Most were in DOS, and was complex. This is in Windows, and it still retains the simplicity of the original ZZT, just by enchancing some colors. Some screenshots are below.

This is the main interface of WinZZT. Simple eh? Since the game's not finished, the screenshot is sort of a fake. The game in there is drawn with ZZT. That is just basically a title screen. When it is done, it will have music and it will move.

The WinZZT splash screen, in actual size. Savvy isn't it. I drew every single thing in there without the help of a graphics artist, and to programmers, this is actually all done in controls, in VB. Oh, I'm not suppposed to say that.

08/22/02 - New WinZZT Beta (Version A.002)

Hi all again, a new beta has been added to the downloads page. This time, almost all the front end user interface is done with a small amount of back end code done. Still, looking for more beta testers. Look at the about screen, and you'll see. Also, Andrey Lisovoi, a friend of mine from HiSoft will also be working on WinZZT.

08/19/02 - WinZZT Website Opens

Yes, today, this site opens after two days into develpopement. So far, progress was quick as I have more time than a fulltime programmer. Done now is the user interface. That is already 10% of the whole entire thing. I, the person who started Lu Software made this, and will be a product of Lu Software. This game creation system will be free as for now. Take a look in the features page, and I expect this to be done within a month. Also, looking for betatesters and people to join Lu Software.
