Mario
Jump-Uses 3 FP. Mario's jump specials are effective against lightweight/small enemies, but are ineffective against ghosts and spiny foes. Press the "Y" button once to perform it, then press it again just as Mario is about to land on the enemy for more damage.
Fire Orb-Uses 5 FP. Mario's fiery spells work well on fish and water/ice based enemies. However, it will cause 0 damage to fire things. Push the "Y" button repeatedly to execute this move.
Super Jump-Uses 7 FP. This can be a very useful magic attack if you can get multiple hits in. Jump 30 Times and you'll be awarded with the Attack Scarf, and jump 100 times for the Super Jacket.
Super Flame-Uses 9 FP. The faster you hit the "Y" button, the more your enemy will burn.
Ultra Jump-Uses 11 FP. The Ultra Jump attacks many enemies. Press the "Y"button repeatedly to perform this attack.
Ultra Flame-Uses 14 FP. Push the "Y" button repeatedly to burn many foes at once.
Mallow
Thunderbolt-Uses 2 FP. Mallow's Thunderbolt and Shocker works great against robotic enemies like Yaridovich and Mack but the monsters at the Star Hill and Booster Pass are usually impervious to it. Press the "Y" button to shock all your opponents, then press the "Y" button again at the right time for an extra bit of electricity.
HP Rain-Uses 2 FP. This recovers one party member's HP. Press the "Y" button to do the magic trick, then press "Y" just before the shower ends for some extra healing. The HP Rain is pretty useless once Toadstool enters your party but is good up until then.
Psychopath-Uses 1 FP. Press the "Y" button once to find out how much HP an enemy has, and you may even get a cute little message with it. It's a great magic special and it only uses up a measly flower point.
Shocker-Uses 8 FP. This thunder-based move is more powerful then the thunderbolt but it only wreaks havoc on one foe. To use it, press the "Y" button once, then press the "Y" button again at the right time for more damage.
Snowy-Uses 12 FP. Snow attacks work super on fire based monsters, but do not use it when fighting ice creatures like Valentina. This magic move damages all enemies at once. To use it, rotate the Control Pad as quickly as possible.
Star Rain-Uses 14 FP. Push the "Y" button over and over again to make a giant star fall on all foes. Time it right to inflict more damage. Although not as strong as some as some of Mallow's other magic moves, at least no foe as a special defense for it.
Geno
Geno Beam-Uses 3 FP. Hold the "Y" button until three stars appear then let go for maximum power. Make sure you do not hold the "Y" button for too long or it will not be as effective. This move comes in handy when battling the tough tentacles in the King Calamari fight.
Geno Boost-Uses 4 FP. Press the "Y" button to give one ally an extra burst of attack power then press the Y button again at the right time to raise defense power! The Geno Boost is very effective if you use it on Mario at the beginning of a battle. Please note that this move wears off after a couple of rounds.
Geno Whirl-Uses 8 FP. Press the "Y" button once to perform this move, then time the move right and you may damage 9999 of a monsters HP. Don't get too excited because the 9999 HP trick only works on minor enemies.
Geno Blast-Uses 12 FP. This is a good magic special since it's powerful and attacks all the foes at once. Perform this move just like the Geno Beam, charge up three stars and then let go for maximum damage.
Geno Flash-Uses 16 FP. This move is great for killing many minor monsters with one shot. Hold the "Y" button to until three stars appear and then let go. It harms all the enemies.
Bowser
Terrorize-Uses 6 FP. Rotate the Control Pad as quickly as possibly for better effects. Terrorize works good on Minor enemies, but is mostly useless otherwise. This fright-based attack harms all foes.
Poison Gas-Uses 10 FP. This poisons all foes, gradually reducing their HP for a couple of rounds. Too bad many Major Enemies are immune to it. Rotate the Control Pad as fast as possible to execute this move.
Crusher-Uses 12 FP. This makes up for some of Bowser's weaker magic tricks, the only downfall is it only harms one enemy at a time. Press the "Y" button to perform this special, then press the "Y" button again at the right time for extra earthy damage.
Bowser Crush-Uses 16 FP. Bowser calls for his giant Mecha Koopa to crush all the enemies. To perform this magic trick, press the Y button as fast as possible. Your thumb speed on the "Y" button is equivalent to the speed of the Mecha Koopa.
Princess Toadstool
Therapy-Uses 2 FP. This move is very handy for when one of those tough guys like Earthlink likes to damage one ally for lots of HP. It recovers one ally's HP and cures all bad status effects like sleep and silence.
Group Hug-Uses 4 FP. This is THE BEST MAGIC MOVE IN THE GAME! Group Hug recovers most HP to everybody and even cures bad status effects. Hey, and it only sets you back 4 FP. Press the "Y" button to heal everyone, then press the "Y" button again near the end for extra healing.
Sleepy Time-Uses 4 FP. Good when fighting many enemies. Use this on a foe to make it fall asleep for awhile. If you rotate the Control Pad really fast and are battling minor enemies, it may even put the whole group to sleep! However, any attack on a napping foe will wake it up. Another con to this move is that Major Meanies are usually not effected by it.
Mute-Uses 3 FP. This silences one enemy for some rounds, unabling them to perform magic tricks. Rotate the Control Pad as quickly as possible for greater results. Keep in mind that most major enemies can't be muted.
Come Back-Uses 2 FP. Whenever your short on Pick Me-Ups use this to revive one ally and give them half their HP back. It is useful but keep in mind that you may want to use a Pick Me up instead when your fighting HP inflicting foes. To perform this move, press the "Y" button. Time it right and you may even revive all of your fallen party members, with all of them having FULL HP!
Psych Bomb-Uses 15 FP. Press the "Y" button repeatedly to throw bombs at all enemies. You might this it's not a good magic spell but it's very handy when you fight Exor and his thugs.
