This page provides a brief history about my site, and really, in a way, the game's history too.

May 13 - Game is released. I put it on a "must buy" list, although, at that time, I was more interested in (shudder) Yoshi's Island (Super Mario World 2).
Late October - A friend showed the game to me, it was a rental. I played Booster Tower, and really liked the concept. It also was the best RPG I had ever seen.
Mid. November - The same friend rents Super Mario RPG again, and brings it for me to play this time, but it was by pure circumstance that I got to play it then. He just left all of a sudden, leaving me with the game for 3-4 hours. I began to learn the basics of gameplay, and even solved the password on the Sunken Ship (pearls). I also got to see Bean Valley, and Monstro Town. I was really interested in it, and wanted to buy it ASAP, but I didn't see the game for months.
November 17 - Created my first Super Mario RPG wave, the Forest Maze theme. It's only 1 of the 2 original sound files that I have kept.

Sunday, March 30 (Easter) - Got my own copy of Super Mario RPG!
Wednesday, April 23 - Founded this page on the principal that it would be like no other, and better than the others. Started out with an Item list, what the FAQs missed, and 30 some waves.
May- August - Added many records pages, and some waves, but I really had no direction on how to make the page to where the people would like it. Sometime in August, this page's hits surpassed my other one, with about 4300.
July 10 - Added Beetle Mania, and more importantly, THE FRAMES PAGE!!!
September - I did hardly nothing during this month, BUT I DID get the newest version of Image Composer (1.5), and I BEGAN TO MAKE IMAGES TO make this page great!
October - For this page; a big success: for my other one; A MISERABLE DEFEAT. On this month, I added a weakness quiz, and got the newest version of IE, 4.0 final release. Its support of MAILTO forms, something I thought only Netscape would ever do, caused me to create the weakness quiz. An idea of an "Advanced" quiz also popped up
October 31 (Halloween)- my birthday- celebration of the first year anniversary of my original page, a mixed blessing. It was this because, although it got me intersted in creating web pages, the original page was failing, miserably. Of the projected 7000 hits that I wanted, I only received 4700. Sad.
Early November - Advanced quiz put up, and my original page shut down for good. Also the remebrance of the 1 year in which I played RPG for the first time. (I think it was about November 7-9).
November 20 - Started on the FAQ. Concerned about this site becoming worthless, as the other did, I looked towards buying a Nintendo 64 or getting one for Christmas.

21 - Two things happened on this date.
1. This history page was put up.
2. My expectations were CRUSHED when I heard reviews about the
new Super Mario RPG 2 for the N64. It's gonna be super easy, 2D,
and probably come out late 1998.
December 30 - 2 things, once again.
1. Well, I've given the N64 a chance, AND I LIKE IT WAY BETTER THAN THE OTHER 2 systems! However, I don't see any chance of me buying Super Mario RPG 2; from some of the pics I've seen of the 2D, crappy Super Mario RPG, it looks a LOT LIKE YOSHI'S ISLAND FOR THE SNES; DESPITE the heavier price tag and THE BREAKTHROUGHS that the N64 offers in 3D!
2. I've decided, with all the BS about SMRPG 1 on the 'net, to put up "things you should know, but probably don't about Super Mario RPG" to clear things up. Appropriately, it's been given the name "duh.htm"...

January 5th - New year, new start.
I've added a new section, Major Meanies guide (thanks to Sam Leonard)...it's quite impressive. In additon to that, I've added 2 surveys, one for your Favorite /Least favorite character(friend or foe!!), and the other for how you like my site and what I could improve.
In case you didn't notice by now, the Advanced Quiz NOW HAS 50 QUESTIONS!!!

January 11th - AN INCREDIBLE UPDATE, MAKING SMRPG'ers Paradise History!!
No, I didn't get rid of my page (duh!), but it certainly is a remarkable day. After all, I've worked on a new 2-page frame layout (instead of 3), improved my links section, improved and created several images, COMPLETED THE BUTTON FUNCTIONS AND BASIC GAMEPLAY FOR SMRPG section, re-did the ratings section (finally!), gave my opinion on Squaresoft and Super Mario RPG, and added to the feedback section! All I can say is, (to quote Jinx) "Phew...simply AMAZING!!"
January 13th - Some neat stuff happened which gave me a sigh of relief.
The Advanced Quiz top scorers became a Top 10, which'll make more people happy.
I finally got all of the quizzes out of the way (send more in!!!). Now, I have time to create my WAVs. Also, my message count is the lowest it's been in 3 months.
January 20th - An award and some clarification.
* The award, "Andrew's SMRPG Super Site Award", was made available. If you have an SMRPG-related page, then you can qualify for this award!!
* The clarification: I've been receiving some quizzes from anonymous, nonexistant, or other people's e-mails. If you send a quiz from someone else's e-mail, I added a box just for you, so you could type in an alternate address for me.
February 23rd-25th - The beginnings of TRUE GREATNESS FOR THIS PAGE!!
On Feb. 23rd, This page turned 10 months old, and I finally rated with RSAC!! Just to clear things up, my old page only lasted 13 months, then 3 more with a new name (16 total). I hope that this page will last CLEAR INTO the next millineum!!
On Feb. 24th, I finally got around to viewing all of your stuff, and have put up a few new things, and fixes a major bug which explains why I haven't been receiving any surveys for the "Favorite Character". Thanks to all of you, but especially Chris Johnson, who told me about the bug and has given me numerous suggestions, comments, and other cool stuff.
On Feb. 25th, I fixed those bugs that happened when you viewed my page with Netscape. I also made it NOT load a MIDI when the entire page loads (first time in months-- should be faster.) In addition, I added a new record column, the Top 5 Lowest Levels for beating Culex.
March 1st - new month, new start.
I've FINALLY REPLACED BOTH SETS OF QUESTIONS ON BOTH QUIZZES!! I've made 25 new questions for the Weakness quiz, and 50 NEW ones for the Advanced quiz. I also added a "Signs you play SMRPG too much" page.
March 14th - Geno (Steve Watson) has GIVEN up web pages altogether. But his webring STILL REMAINS!! Thanks to me, the Super Mario RPG webring will be alive and well for a long time to come! In addition, I've finished ONE section of my background makeovers.

23rd - This is my 11-month anniversary for the
page!! In one more month, I'll have OWNED THIS PAGE AN ENTIRE
YEAR!! I thank all of you who've made this possible.
And, I finally put up the walkthru for the 2nd star piece.
April 17th - In a few days, MY PAGE will have turned 1 year old. I also added a True-False quiz, which has started out at 10 questions, like the other 2 did.
April 23rd - ONE YEAR!! AT LAST!! I FINISHED THE long-awaited background changes, and put up an accessory guide!
May 10th - With the EXTREME popularity of my new quiz, I've put up a TOP 10!! I also added part 3 to the walkthrough guide AND a weapons guide!
May 27th - That's right; A NEW frames design...and some other changes too. I've also added the special item guide!
June 1st - I finally added the 4th and 5th sections of the walkthrough, organized the "coming soon" section, and fixed the link on the "walkthrough index" page to the third star piece.
June 4th - I've added the "most star rain bounces" to my record section, taken out the best times for beating Super Mario RPG because it was unpopular and inaccurate, and made the true-false quiz into 25 questions, bringing it up from 20.
June 28th - The first update in a while, since June 10th! I've received over 200 messages from you people, and have worked a while on cutting them down. I also IMPROVED the Favorite/Least Favorite Character survey, you can't vote twice, but check it out, anyways.
July 23rd - My first update in a while. This one added a most FP gotten in one game record as well as a campaign to save Super Mario RPG 2! I also added a neat feature to the quiz section much like the links part in the records section and the links for the feedback section. In my webring news, I made a new logo that's smaller and better looking.
August 7th - I'm having MAJOR problems with my POP3 e-mail account; I haven't been able to connect since late July. I've eliminated all but 42 messages in my inbox, however, I have another 240 when/if this problem gets fixed. In addition, I've improved the save SMRPG2 campaign, finally finished the 6th star piece walkthru (it's taken since 4/23!!), and made a new "now finished" graphic to celebrate that (it needed replacing.)
September 1st - Guess what? THE WALKTHRU IS DONE!! It's been re-done for printability, and has ALL 7 complete star pieces!! I really worked hard on the 7th piece. Also, I've employed project "BS Buster", designed to cut the crap in my record sections. I've taken care of that now, and had to re-adjust some spots. In addition, I've made a LOGO for the save SMRPG 2 campaign! Click here to see the new page design and logo.
December 30th - It was DESTINED to happen...I've shut the page down. After 1 1/2 years, this is it. I'm sorry to everyone, and hope someone will want to take over.

February 2- I'm so happy! My page is back IN MY CONTROL!! I promise I'll do things better this time around! First off, new images! Secondly, more conformed style (you know those record hyperlinks)...I'll do that style for each of my sections...Lastly...a promise to put up all that stuff I wanted to.
February 21- My second update, aka the "combination update". I combined the rumors section with the rumor busters, the 3 feedback pages into 1, and the humor section is now 1 page! I also added 25 new advanced quiz questions, getting rid of grading (shudder) 50!
March 15- Big update with a lot of projects completed. I removed the frog coin record (WAY TOO EASY) and the quicklinks on the frames section. But, I added a lot more than I took away! 25 new questions to the true-false quiz, a shift of where I put the "webrings", I've almost completed the hidden treasure box guid. I added a new survey where you can choose your favorite/least favorite music in SMRPG, and, lastly, I ADDED THE SCREENSHOTS AND BACKGROUNDS SECTION!! I checked my beta for the page and it said the due date was "3/9/98"! Talk about a long time coming.
