Christmas Traditions
Christmas wouldn't be Christmas with a tree, mistletoe, Christmas Movies, a crèche, or Christmas carols. This wasn't always the case, however. These customs have been borrowed from other cultures and have changed over the years to form the traditions we hold most dear.

Christmas trees are beautiful, but real trees can be dangerous. Be sure to read all about tree safety. Christmas Trees: Traditions, Production, and Diseases is a site that will give you alot of scientific facts about trees. While the Christmas Tree Page focuses on the religious aspects of the tradition. The Christmas traditions, Christmas tree history page gives you a mixture of fact and legend.

Each year we love to watch  A Christmas Carol, my favorite version is the old black and white classic starring Reginald Owen, and the Lockhart family.

Mistletoe has quite a few legends connected with it. Be sure to read about its fascinating history.

Probably my favorite Christmas tradition is the crèche I put up every year. The crèche celebrates the true meaning of Christmas. My German background might have something to do with my love for this nativity set, as the simple statues of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph have been popular in that country for centuries.

Last, but not least, are the songs of the season that we love to listen to and sing along with

I hope these links helped to put you in the Christmas spirit!
