Datsun 260C 4 door sedan front
This was a facelifted version of the 240C, with the six cylinder engine
enlarged to 2.6 litres, hence the name Datsun 260C. This was known as Cedric
and/or Gloria on some other markets, and also smaller engines including
diesels were available outside Australia.
Datsun 260C 4 door sedan profile
A smooth conservative shape (even for its time) the profile shows no change
from the 240C. (Okay, I can't find one yet, but trust me, I will!). The wheels
on this car are not standard (see below).
Datsun 260C 4 door sedan rear quarter
A clean bodyside with only a minor waistline bump in the rear quarters, this
model was considered conservative compared to its arch rival Toyota Crown
(which had gone radical at the same time!)
Datsun 260C 4 door sedan rear
This has a GL badge stuck in the middle which the red car (though possibly not
so complete as this one) did not - any thoughts?

260C hardtop coupe
Note the slight variation in the central part of the grille, where there are
almost tiny lights imitated.
Datsun 260C hardtop coupe rear
Though the bumper appears to have been common to the sedan most other panels
are different. Does this mean this was a Gloria versus Cedric
variation?
Datsun 260C hardtop coupe profile
This particular vehicle has seen better days but it still can be see that the
styling was clean, although quite reminiscent of late 1960's US GM B-body
coupes.

Datsun 260C front
This was a newly bodied version, still with the 2.6 litre six cylinder engine.
As had happened with the 240C the engine was later enlarged, while
retaining the same body, to 2.8 litres (and of course was renamed 280C).
Datsun 260C wagon profile
The rising hipline on the rear door is really obvious in this shot.

Datsun 260C coupe front quarter
The hardtop coupe was held back slightly (January '76 apparently) after the
release of the sedan and wagon. Like the previous shape it always seemed rare
and this is one of two I have seen in the last year or so (chased this one for
months till finally the gods smiled and I caught it!).
Datsun 260C coupe rear
I have never seen a hardtop coupe 330 series 280C (nor
wagon for that matter); perhaps these were no longer imported?

centre badgework.
Datsun 260C coupe profile
Like all 330 series model the profile is much hippier than the 230
series version, a backward step in most people's view. I think these wheels
(wheel covers, actually) may not be original.
Datsun 260C coupe rear quarter
The coupe had (fake?) rear quarter vents, not only those on the C pillar
behind the side windows but also a small one near the trailing edge of the
fender (this might have been a side marker light on other markets? The 280C
sedan also had these).
