THANKSGIVING CANNED GOODS DRIVE

"Helpful Hands" an organization run by Jamie Ridgely is collecting for needy Carroll County families. Bring non-perishable foods to the Town Hall or to any MAMA business no later thatn November 21, 2002.

2002 SEASON
WEST SIDE SKATE PARK

The Skate Park will be closing for the winter on December 1, 2002. It will reopen for the 2003 season March 1, 2003. Daily skate passes are currently available at the Town Office or Pizza Garden (located on Rt 27) and cost $5.00/day. Season passes are only available at the Town Office during business hours 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Season Passes cost $50/person, $80/two children, and $110/family of 3 or more. Entire family must register at the same time.


WALNUT STREET POND
The pond will open in June. This pond is a catch & release pond throughout the '02 fishing season.

OCTOBER 6 - Donkey Show

This is a FREE concert series sponsored by the Town of Manchester in cooperation with the Manchester Fire Department. Concerts are 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. and are heldat the Manchester Fireman's Bandstand at the Carnival Grounds on York Street. Bring your lawn chair or blanket.

Manchester Elementary School

The cost of school lunches has increased for the 2002-2003 school year:
Lunch - $1.60
Breakfast - $1.00
Milk - $.35
Ice Cream - $.60

The food service Department of the Carroll County Public Schools is offering it;s annual meal plan for the 2002-2003 school year. Purchasing this plan will enable your child to receive one nutritious meal per school day for the entire school year. If you are interested in the meal plan, please call the Food Service Department at 410-751-3040 to enroll your child. Applications for Free and Reduced Meals are available at the school office throughout the school year.

Upcoming School Activities

The annual "Back To School Night" is Monday, Sept. 9. Plan to attend and hear what exciting educational opportunities are going to be provided to the children this school year.

School individual pictures will be taken on September 25.
