Vote for the Matty's

Welcome to another year of the Matty's. Right now many of you may be asking "What the heck are the Matty's?". Well they are my awards that I give out to the ISU volleyball team. These awards include: favorite player, favorite newcomer, cutest, most intensity, MVP and anything else that I decide (or someone else tells me should be on here). OK now you are ready to vote. All you have to do is fill in the name, uniform #, or even a good description of the player the box provided. Toward the end of the season (probably during the conference tournament) I will post winners for each category.


First as always is favorite player. So just tell me who you like to watch play or just think is cool for whatever reason. This is a tough one for me this year since Kendra isn't playing, but I think I know who I'm voting for. :-)

Favorite Player

Next is favorite Newcomer. This award goes is kind of like favorite player, but is only for players who are new to the team (freshman, transfers etc.)

Next is probably the favorite among many fans, including myself. It is the Cutest player. Just write in the name of the athlete that you think is the cutest on the team. This may be a hard decision this year since both players who were co-winners last year are returning, plus there are others that could edge them out too

Next is the intensity award, which will be re-named the "Nikki McCleary intensity award" because there is no one who I have ever seen have more emotion and intensity on the volleyball court (if you don't know who Nikki is then ask someone who has been around for a few years at least). This award is for, as it says, the athlete who shows the most emotion and/or intensity during the games.

Next is most improved. Who do you think has improved the most either from the beginning of the season, or from last year.

And finally the MVP. This of course is the player who has contributed the most to the team.
